  • what type of oil do they use?

  • Is this only in Adelaide? Might want to update the title if it is

  • This…

Only $29 for a full vehicle service

    …seems inconguous with this:

Replacement of standard spark plugs (labour only, parts will be extra)

So it's never going to be $29 for the 'full vehicle service' at all…

Receive up to 2.5 hours labour for $29! Valued up to $248!

Does this mean that this offer does not include oil or anything actually required to do the actual service? Sounds that way to me.

Unless you supply everything, there's no way you're getting this for $29.

      • Crap, sorry. Fat fingers on a mobile accidentally pressed -'ve by accident

To obtain a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with your palm now! :p

          Fixed :D

    • My mobile selected - instead of +

Thanks for pointing that out for those who didn't know.

It's pretty crap, I was once talked into buying a voucher that said I could get a service for $29. After everything was said and done it was another 150 bucks, for a normal service. That was on top of the price of the voucher and the $29… Expensive exercise.

No deal. None of these car servicing deals are ever worth it. You'll pay through your nose for all fluids and parts…

    • +2

I bet that even if you did supply your own oil, they'd keep it (if it was quality stuff) and pump in whatever rubbish they normally use anyway.

Ended up paying $300 for parts on one of those cudo $50 major service. Never again. Standard oil and topup fluids plus just standard spark plugs.

Yep, I think we've all been stung with these kinds of deal. The list of surprise 'dangerous faults' with your car when you go to pick it up is mind-boggling!!! I think I've told the story before, but I had to literally threaten one mob with bodily harm to get my car put back together & returned to me once!

These really are just bait & rort deals by unscrupulous mechanics most of the time. I saw a bit on either ACA or TT years ago where they followed a female 'customer' taking a pristine condition older car in for one of these docket deal services…it came back with a list of supposedly urgent repairs you couldn't jump over! Most people don't know enough about cars so they end up being ripped off with plausible sounding excuses!

  • Pretty smelly offer.

Please note: all parts, oils and fluids are not included – voucher covers labour only
All parts and consumables must be purchased from Profix

  • Recently was offered a Bridgestone Service recently where the full service was $49. It was part of a door to door sales deal. Well the 5litres of oil was an extra $60! And the Oil Filter $30! I think they just use 'bulk' oil out of the drum. These deals are just a rip off and so misleading. I always ask exactly what oil is being used and what filter and I want to see the container they used. I am generally told to go elsewhere. My local charges $109 and I supply all parts and he does a genuine job. You get what you pay for.

    no location, not statewide

and it's a groupbuy deal + all the scammed experience listed above!

$29 not including oil & fluid is really not a bargain!

    • Agreed, deal busted

  • All these service deals are a scam, don't even waste your time looking at this
