      • +10

        Should be $299

  • +1

    Is this non oled?

    • +2

      It is not OLED
You can tell just from the box.

      • +12

        More like NO-LED, amirite? 😃

        • +5

Still LED, just a NO deal.

    • Still a good price but this model is not the latest OLED Model.
This is the original Switch model launched in 2018 and updated with a new battery in 2020.
The OLED Model was on sale at $399 a few times at Amazon, Big W, eBay and Catch this year.

  • +9

    Go for OLED.

I can't go back to hand held with my OG switch now.

If you play exclusively on TV then it doesn't matter.

  • +2

Not a good deal. It’s not oled

  • Mumma mia so a cheap a

    • Price reveals on Tuesday, sale goes live on 25th

Thanks. I was heading in on Tuesday. Reread it. Starts online Tuesday, in store Friday. That works out better as I have Friday off. Bye bye bank balance.

Too slow to run the latest games smoothly.

    • +4

What are you talking about! This destroys the PS5 and Xbox for Mario Kart!

      • I actually got mario kart running on my series x.

      • You can play Switch games via emulation on lots of systems now.

  • OP.. i got so excited … and then i read it wasnt OLED … i was about to do kart wheels.. :( HOLD!! waiting for OLED deal to come up for BM/BF

  • Can I go to the jb-hifi price match and use the Coles and aldi gift card next week to buy this?

  • +4

I am one of the 10 people that apparently bought a Wii U. With some of the best games just being ports (albeit enhanced) still not seeing the need to upgrade, particularly when it is 99% used by my kids.

Know i will miss the next zelda but assume that will be sold on the next console anyway once available.

  • +1

I bought non oled switch (this was back in three years ago just after nintendo announced battery improved version) $379 from big w. This was a just okay not great deal at the time, I still think I should have saved some $$ for better deal yet.

Post covid and inflation playing big part keeping the price of game console not moving, but just below rrp deal for a game console on its 6th year life cyclr isn't great really.

    • So do you suggest to buy an oled switch or not? Or should I just wait for next gen switch?

      • +1

I found switch OLED is much attractive product, I got one about two weeks ago and its been great. I’d aim for $380-ish for a regular OLED version, perhaps $420 mark for special edition (ie. splatoon, pokemon). I got one at $379 for splatoon version (from the previous ebay offer), but to be fair it was a surprisingly good price to be true.

I am unsure about next gen. The current switch is a brilliant product, offers enjoyable gaming experience in portable format, provides great party games with your family (esp with young ones), friends etc.

I suggest to buy at a right price.

        • +1

Thankyou .. I’m buying it so I can relive my childhood and start the same time my kids can play with me

          • +1

@DrMilan: I am sure there will be a good deal around black friday and boxing day etc. good luck! :-)

  • I've got the neon model modded, but am still thinking of buying the OLED anyway.

    • Not sure if this one lasted by big W can be moddrd

      • I don't think it can. But I'm still considering getting one to play legit Mario Kart and N64 games.

  • OLED would be much better but this is a bundle so… same price as last year just seems like a rip off.

    • same price as last year….

How about $10 more than 4 years ago?

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/419325

      • Rip. Seems like an even worse deal now. The generic switch is getting super outdated.
OLED is already released. There will also be a new switch released in 1-2 years.

        • +1

Yep looks like early or mid 2023 new switch will be released

          • @DrMilan: They didn't mention it in investor updates with their fin. year ending March so not the first quarter … but the current one just keeps selling.

  • $369 without the game at Target - limited stock and click and collect only. Pricematch elsewhere and pay with discounted gift cards.

  • +1

    • thanks buddy, those are the non OLED versions though

    • Amazon likely to match this price tomorrow?
