  • I saw that deal and was tempted but decided to hold off and wait for better Black Friday deals. I’m sure some stores will at least match this price. I also really dislike both eBay service and zip

  • DigiDirect have had a few slip ups with their price matching and orders placed online. I wouldn’t bother if not in stock at brick/mortar shops

    • What do you mean by this I’m not after this item but never ordered from them before but they have someone I want and is currently cheapest should I stay clear?

  • just bought one second hand for $800, can't beat that deal

I got one second hand with 8 minutes of flight time, accessories and filters for $700 delivered. 😎

      • Where?

        • +1

Gumtree and FB marketplace are the places to go

      • was it a dji care refreshed unit? (my mini 2 was 2nd hand with no flight time and a remaining refresh replacement, was able to see the care refresh history - looks like they'd bought it, crashed the same/next day and immediately activated the first dji care refresh while deciding this drone thing is not for them and put it up on ebay)

        • Hmmm how do you check?

          • @RegentHoney: if it came with DJI Care Refresh, when you transfer the policy onto your own account, you'll be able to see the history showing activation and when it was used.

This is THE drone to get IMHO. I have had a bunch of different drones going back to the Phantom 1 nearly 10 years ago, and this little guy is just so amazing compared to what has gone before.

It is tiny so its easy to transport when traveling, super light weight, great 4K video quality, super long flight times and the biggest thing that nobody talks about is the fact that it is just so quiet. It is not silent, but as it's significantly quieter than almost any other drone, so you can use it without disturbing other people.

My travel kit now is a FF Sony A7R4 with 35mm pancake lens for photos. Gopro 11 for all video (the stabilisation is just incredible now you just point and shoot), and this drone for aerial video. World class photos and video footage in a light weight, easy to carry setup.

    • Would you recommend this drone to a first timer or better get a cheaper one?
I can’t make up my mind on the sensors. Better spend more and have a more advanced drone with more sensors or a cheap one without sensors? would having no sensors make it easier to crash?

      • i bought the mini se around 6 months ago and am now considering the mini 3 pro.
im not fussed about the image quality difference, but the range improvement would be great, plus having the screen on the remote would make it so much quicker to get in the air.
getting it set up to fly with plugging in the phone, launching the app etc is a pain. would be much nicer just to turn on the drone and remote and just fly.

        • Yeah definitely worth having the standalone screen and save phone battery

      • You're not gonna fly these close to objects to the point the sensors are gonna kick in. I've had a mavic for years and the only time I remember using the sensors is when the quad went rth and nearly flew into a tree.

  • If you can afford, get it.
The sensors make it less taxing when flying
You don't have to worry as much about crashing.
You still will, but with the RC controller with built-in screen, it's the best combo/light drone on the market

    • and for $180 you can get DJI protection for 2 years which offer replacementa if you crash or lose it. You'd be crazy not to pay the extra for it

    • What are you guys hitting with these? You flying it like an Avata or a cinewoop or something?

Its them trees. Bastards wont get out of the way.
