    • I tried myself by swiping the card on the EFTPOS terminal and got an Items Not Allowed error on the EFTPOS terminal. A couple of other people have told me they got the same error messages too.

It is the same error message you would have seen when trying to use your EFTPOS gift card as a payment method. This is due to Woolworths still selling the older version of the Perfect EFTPOS gift card, which uses the same BIN as the EFTPOS gift card you had.

(An Items Not Allowed error is where Woolworths checks the BIN of the card you are using and finds it in a BIN blacklist for the gift card you are wanting to purchase. It is not the gift card issuer declining the transaction.)

      • There is a new error now called "transaction invalid", not sure what does that mean.

        • Did that error happen before or after you were asked for a PIN?

          • @WookieMonster: Before, seems like a POS based decline.

            • @truetypezk: That’s weird. I think you’re right.

@WookieMonster: Probably need more data and testing to figure out what is going on, but yeah seems like it can't be used to buy itself directly now.

                • @truetypezk: It worked for me on Wednesday but did not work for me Friday, so they fixed it up after the promo started.

                  • @rabbit71: Yeah that's why i said it cant work now. They are surprisingly effective on fixing loopholes, hope they can put in more efforts in making sure pts arrive as advertised instead.

I paid car insurance, ctp, university fee, all work well.

The only bother me is i can't linked in to ApplePay.

I still have $2k left, worried if it will be hack sooner or later but some bills like electricity (there is a fee), rego (there is a fee), tried to linked it to beem, didn't work.

      • For some reason it says you can add it to the wallet but so far i'm not having any luck. Might try to contact them.

  • Not having much luck with these cards. I purchased the Online shopping card and added 1 card to Google Pay last week and it worked fine.

Tried adding 2 different cards last night and today and it can't be added. The error code states - This card can't be set up for contactless payments. Tried adding to Samsung Pay and it didnt work too so I don't think its a Google Pay issue?

    • Nop, Apple Pay is broken too. I think Blackhawk disabled this feature without any notification

      • I rang support and she said it's not activated for Google Pay or Samsung Pay so can only be used for online shopping. Isn't that false advertising since it's clearly stated on the front of the card that it can be added?

        • Blackhawk support is obviously misleading and even if u refer them to the website or front of the card, they will make another lie to you:) This is just the way their support operates

        • It's a garbage reason. You can use Google Pay (and Apple Pay) online at some retailers.

Remember, Blackhawk Network customer service reps on their email support or phone support are usually quite hopeless, so I suspect that is the reason you got that ridiculous answer.

    • It may be due to security issue. Try using another Google ID if you have.

      • Yes ive tried on a different phone with a different google id and still no luck

    • I added a few to Google pay last week. I'll have to see if they still work in store.

      • +1

Yes if you have already added them, they still work unless the store has blocked them for some reason :)
