Nice to know you can add it to PP

    • Looks like you may be able to add it to apple wallet too. Could be more convenient than the Coles Master Gift Cards.

    • Maybe not yet. The FAQ says "We are working in the background to enable Paypal use for Activ gift cards, please check back for an update on when you could add your Activ gift card to Paypal"

      • +2

I added to google pay and paypal both working well

        • Are you able to pay via contactless on Google? Did you have any issues? I'm getting 'This card can't be set up for pay contactless' on my Android phone.

          • @aaron3: I had that as well. Worked on second attempt

Woolworths thinks people are dumb to fall for this deal …LoL

Earn 10xpoints when you purchase (Offer valid on $50 & $100) OnlyOne Visa Green, Petrol, Gaming, Congrats and Birthday subject to $5.95 Purchase Fee. (Basically no discount for this lot of cards as Purchase fees are higher then reward benefits).

Earn 10xPoints when you purchase variable Visa Activ Online Shopping, Travel & Explore, and Pets & Vets subject to $7.95 Purchase fee. (marginal discount of roughly below 3.41% if you do $500 upload but less if you do smaller amount and possible no discount if you do $159 or less). Check latest catalogues for more details.

Considering UBank saving rate of around 3.85% not sure if it is bargain or not but I am sure there will be plenty of cards available as realy OZBargainer probably going to stay away from this type of catches … in my opinion.. !

Buyers please note hacking and other risk associated with this type of gift card… before purchase.

    • +3

It is better to buy coles prepaid master card in this case, 2000 point covers rhe $5 purchase fee, the offer finishes tonight.

    • +1

      3.85%.. PER ANNUM
      Or 3.41% overnight? Hmmm…

Don't be an investment advisor :p

$6-8 fee doesn't go to woolies but yes it's a rort

      • it's not about the fees but the reward point they gave is bull which would be better off to be 20 times instead of 10 times and i think it is in Woolworths hand to decide how many points they allocate ..> !

also, you talked about 3.41% overnight is only possible if someone going to use it overnight :D :D :D :D :D unlike Coles one which were having decent discount and better off buying in those sort of deals then into this type of deals which get you points instead of upfront discount… so though i am not financial advisor neither wanted to be one but i think i can take my own advise without doubt :)

    • +1

agreed woolies deal on this thing is waste of time….and not worth your sweat.

Coles is much better, especially when they had the 10% off and on top you get flybuys points.

    • Not to mention potentially wasting time chasing up points. Get screwed on the "savings", get screwed for time. And we won't get started on the nonsense with Woolies artificially low limits before the machine requires the store manager's code.

  • +12

Do not buy any gift cards from Woolworths until they fix the manual bonus points credit unless you have plenty of time to chase the bonus points, it should be added automatically like it used to be.

    • TRUE

    • I’m going to give this deal a go because I want to try and amalgamate two $250 Cole’s Mastercards into one $$492 online shopping card. I think the system error they had was specific to a few weeks. Hopefully rectified now.

    • true!you have to call them after 14 business days and you may get the chance to get your points, sometime you need to call them few times and every time takes more 40 mins to get through the line, it sucks!

    • I'm still waiting for points from the eftpos card deal and its been 5weeks. They had to submit a request to the team leader for review so another 7 working day wait…….

last time bought TCNgiftcards which can not use at eBay at all. anyone find how to deal with these cards ?

    • You have to go to TCN website then. change the TCN gift card to eBay gift card

      • the point is TCN have no ebay option while ebay printed on the card

        • I have been using them with no issue.

Just changed 4 x $50 TCNGift to eBay gift card today to purchased a Dash cam.

        • TCN website, choose GIFT then click "How to use" then put in card number and choose eBay.

Did yours not giving you the eBay option?

    • you can always email tcn if you receive teens card instead of gift card. I've got my ebay egiv sorted by emailing them.

  • +2

EDR program has had way too much fraud for an extended period of time and WW don't seem to want to do anything about it. I'd be wary if you're chasing points with them

  • +4

Hey OP, it's Online Shopping, not Online Shipping lol

    $500x10=5000 pts=$25
    $25-$7.95=$17.05
    $17.05/500 = 3.41% savings.
Not really worth it imo. Worse than Coles 2000pts/$100+$5 Prepaid Master

    • Ty lol.

  • Hey team, quick question.

Could the OnlyOne Visa Green then be used through rewardgateway to purchase a woolworths gift card at 4% off?

Then use the woolworths gift card at woolies and collect 3x points ?

    • Could the OnlyOne Visa Green then be used through rewardgateway to purchase a woolworths gift card at 4% off?

I tried a few months ago and it did not work, as it failed the 3-D Secure check.

      • +1

No deal for me then. Thanks for the heads up.

  • +5

For anyone wondering, you cannot use OnlyONE Visa gift cards or Activ Visa gift cards to send payments to the ATO, as ATO payments are blocked by Indue and Heritage Bank (respectively).

(I wonder whether it is time to raise an AFCA complaint about this?)

    • I heard Coles ones are blocked now too, So no prepaid card left to pay ATO with discount

      • Seems Coles ones are blocked from purchasing woolworths gift cards online as well. Managed to buy some when I first got the Coles mastercards but when trying again a week or so later it didn't work.

    • +1

They will just cancel all future deals if forced to unblock them as there won't be enough profit in it for them.

  • +3

Us 5 cards limit per day?? Or whole week or per rewards card???

    My assumption is 5 cards/day7day, so 35 cards in a week$500 card* 10 points.
So it will be 175000 points altogether/maximum.

    • just tired buying 5 more cards today, it does NOT show any bonus point .

Yesterday I got 25000points on same purchase.

      • Well well, here we go again.

      • Calling and waiting game begins niw…

  • -2

Fee needs to go into title!

  • Points go straight away!

    • First transaction worked instantly, so I did a second transaction and I only got 500 points. They make this so hard.

      • +2

You can only do one transaction a day. Was your second with a different card?

        • -1

Same rewards card. Damn I did not know about the one transaction limit per day.

          • @rabbit71: limit 5card per transaction, 1 transaction per day

            • @ivyholmes: For some reason I got 5000 points for $500 card in two transactions…

              • @Koipanda: Was that one WW rewards card, 2 transactions each for one $500 card giving a single 5000 points or two 5000 rewards?

                • @rabbit71: Ok, so i double checked and i actually got:
1st trans 10,000 points on 1x$500 online shopping card
2nd trans 5,000 points on 1x$500 online shopping card

                  • @Koipanda: So, u actually got additional bonus with ur 1st trans? Lucky u

      • Bad luck.

    • Ikr, it’s a miracle this time. Got the 5000 points right away too 😂

  • Can this Visa card be used to buy swap card on shopback?

    • +2

I used the online shopping and it worked. Worked though PP for Woolworths as well.

    • no, it doesn't work for shopback and Coles master did the same in my case.

      • Coles Mastercard works on Shopback. I haven’t tried these yet.

        • it doesn't for purchasing gift card in my case.

          • @s12321: Worked for me 2-3 weeks ago, buying superswap. Max can only add 4 though

      • +1

        Shopback works with Online Shopping.

  • How long we can keep this card to avoid hackers?

    • Less sale, much safer. Even if hackers work out the card numbers, most of them are unactivated, which discourages them to hack further. Coles Prepaid MC used to be only one per flybuys per event for many years, during which almost no hacking issues occurred (except the physcial tampering issue).

      • +1

How do you save your cards from hacker? would it be fine if i leave it for a week? in fact they covered the cards now, so its more secured. I wish there is a button to lock the card when we dont want to use it yet

        • +1

or at least, they should randomize the expiry date and don't write it outside, to make it harder to guess

          • @hanofee: Thats true maybe months expired date randomly, i think expired date is set up 3 years directly after your purchase

  • I once managed to double use an onlyone card accidentally. Used the whole balance, went through my used cards days later to make sure I had indeed used them all, it still had a full balance. So I thought I messed up, and used it again. When I checked balance again a few days later it was in negative.

    • Was it the double charged for the same transaction ( the same service/product)?

  • Standard Green Variable $25-500 is not with instant bonus pts or not participating. Avoid it.

    • Thanks for the info. I noticed, in my local store their banner only show the variable one of Shopping, but the T&C doesn't say it's excluded in the catalog.

      • Bought two $50-500 ones and bonus pts were instant.

        • Are they letting you do 2 in one transaction or are you using different reward cards?

          • @googoogaga: Two different EDRs. I won't take a risk. I will cancel the purchase if no bonus pts show on the screen.

          • @googoogaga: I did two on each EDR card. Don’t go over $1000 so that manager approval is required. Eg I did $492 on two cards. Came to $999.90 including the fee.

            • @HereToSave: I always buy 3*$500 in self check out, falls under $2000 so they just need to click on OK button (second time though). No need of manager’s approval. more than $2000 may need manager’s approval but i have not tried yet.

              • @R n b: Nice. Maybe the attendant had supervisor code? I thought it was $1500. One time I had over $2000 and it had to be store manager and he wasn’t there. Now I just do $1000 on mine $1000 on Mrs and it’s done. These cards are the best so far as they can be added so easily to your e wallets. $33 bucks of free money per $1000.

                • @HereToSave: I have out of luck today, got 5x $500 online shopping cards but all of the cards activation went failled so i have to go back again tomorrow. What a mess! I did nothing wrong

                  • +1

                    @ivyholmes: That’s a worry. Good luck.

                  • @ivyholmes: Did ur receipt said succesful but u can’t use them?

                    • +1

@hanofee: My receipt said card activation failed, return the money but the gc payment has done sucessfully

                      • @ivyholmes: In this case, you should have them activated at the service desk without paying. However, from my exp, if no senior supervisor/store manager is on site, you may not be able to have it done.

                        • +1

@Neoika: Yea. I have to go back again today, waiting the manager on site if he works today. The points came through straight away eventhough the gcs activation were failled. I'm just quite suprised and annoyed, coz I have a bill to pay today but I have to go back to woolies again. The good news is the points from last week Ultimate cards also were received last night

                          • @ivyholmes: Not bad, my last week one was still zero. We never learned the lesson :)

  • Does anyone know if the terms are strictly enfor ed, I mean the "limit 5card per transaction, 1 transaction per day" . Specifically the 1 transaction per day part?
Reading the comments, some seem to have had luck with 2 transactions on same day , same EDR card, but it seemed to be a glitch on that first day so unsure if anybody else has had luck from 2nd day of promotion onwards.

    • +1

Cancel the purchase if no bonus pts show on the screen or scan another EDR to replace the initial EDR. Simple as it. Don't take the punt.

      • but you have opened the package, i dont think woolies staff allows to cancel the transaction. I gambled, 2 transaction before for ultimate cards 2×$500 points didn't show up. I just wait for 3 weeks and catch them

        • +1

Of course you can. I don't have enough money to pay for it, etc.

          • +1

@Neoika: Thats fine, i would better invest in giftcard rather than in bank. Bank interest only 4%, but gift card is a just a method of transaction that give you lucrative bonus (disc 3-10% on top your transaction)

  • +2
  • Visa Activ Pets & Vets, Visa Activ Travel & Explore Variable are with bonus pts instantly.

    • Online Shopping not instantly?

      • It is. Someone mentioned it already.

Visa Activ Travel & Explore = Visa Activ Online Shopping, no merchants restriction. Any cards with $5.95/$7.95 fee are universal, ingoring the description.

        • is Coles Mastercard and Visa Activ have the same bank? just wondering

          • @ivyholmes: Probably Heritage bank bought Blackhawk. Blackhawk has been existed for a long time as I know.

Coles PMC is by Incomm Payments via Heritage Bank.

Following your question, I found Incomm Payments even bought TCN business recently. See here

            • @Neoika: Oh wow it is interesting to know. Do you know if we purchase with an Ultimate card via Gray/Apple Wallet, Do we need the pin or not?

  • OnlyOne Visa Green var (25-500) does this one get 10x points?

    • +1

      No. Get the shopping one

  • +2

Thanks, got the 5000 points instantly on a $500 variable Online Shop for $507.95.

    Split payment at checkout $99 x 5 + $12.95 x 1 on HSBC for 2% cashback.

    • That's next level.

  • Did anyone try with eftpos prepaid card( bought at Woolworth in last time promotion) yet?? I still got some cards with $37.40 balance after buying 2 of 10% discounted coles MasterCards ???

    • Not yet. I’d like to put all the remaining balances onto one card though

    • No, you can't do it. I tried to buy $500 variable card and split the payment, you will have an error showing up saying 'Item not allowed', and you have to wait for the employee to assist by scanning their barcode.

      • I even tried with one of these and got the same error.

  • Has anyone tried buying Activ Travel & Explore/Online Shopping using Activ Travel & Explore/Online Shopping (inception)?
