Appliance Central has the C2 for $1000 off! I think I'll personally still wait for Black Friday sales from somewhere I can physically take the TV back to if there are any issues, but I'd be keen to hear what others think of Appliance Central. Surely the C2 goes for less during Black Friday… right?

Appliance Central are legit
55" sub $2K and 65" sub $3K incoming
The LG Home Entertainment Company recorded revenues of KRW 3.7 trillion in the third quarter and an operating loss of KRW 55.4 billion, which reflected higher marketing investments in response to intensified market competition. LG's Home Entertainment strategy will center on effectively managing marketing expenses and boosting the premium TV segment, in addition to nimble inventory management.
Great find! Appreciate the tip

Hoping for a significant drop in the 42" model soon!
I just got JB live chat to price match the appliance central on the 42" panel, then used the 92JB30 code for an extra 30 off to get it for a final $1,849.
That seemed like a pretty good deal to me when the 48" Gigabytye OLED I was considering is going on clearance at $1,459 and has a few compromises I didn't want for the desktop.https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/oled42c2psa-lg-42-inch-4…
you didn't think there will be better BF sales? $1849 seems to be the going price at a few online retailers
Probably!
Impatient, however.@Jall: fair enough, im about to pull the trigger but waiting for a further discount. Are you planning on using this as a TV or PC monitor?
If there is a store near you, Videopro are always willing to negotiate price somewhat. I'm sure they'd beat $1849.

Moving to Europe and the 48inch C2 over there is now down below 1000 euros/1500 aud. The 55 Inch C1 is similarly priced, but my viewing distance will be too short.
Will pull the trigger if nothing better on BF, lool like solid TVs!
I have the 65" and I'm so impressed I'm waiting for the 42" to drop to grab one as a monitor. Highly recommend!
Are these Tvs good as monitors, I have the 65 C1 and I can see the pixels when I go near it.
Unless it's going to be primarily used for gaming and multimedia (and not productivity), it's a poor choice as a monitor. I purchased one and returned it, as it was unusable for reading and programming due to ASBL (Auto Static Brightness Limiter). Additionally, the default settings aren't optimal and need to be adjusted (for example, sharpness reduction). Finally, whilst it's unrelated to the viewing experience, there are some questionable cost-cutting measures by LG which you wouldn't expect at this price point (such as the stands and cable management clips appearing like they were produced by a hobbyist 3D printer, the lack of HDMI cable, etc.).
FYI the smaller sized LG C2 series may not be able to reach the same highs as the larger panels:

Personally I have never noticed the difference as the C1 was already so good.
This is now $2090 delivered, and you can price match at JB with 10% ultimate gift cards right now at woolies for extra discount. JB price match will also be $2090 delivered.
It was just over $2k back in July at TGG eBay and has never been again since then. Looking forward to BF :)
