  • Great deal. Still not sure if I'm going to build my PC, myself, or wait for a ready-to-go Techfast deal… but I bought this just in case…. can you return on Amazon? I hope so!

    • +4

      Extended Returns Information

During the holidays, most of the items purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2022 can be returned until 31, January 2023.

Also I'd recommend building it urself, most of the times its gonna be much cheaper.

      • not "much" cheaper than Techfast I suspect but yeah DIY is fun anyway

        • Is there something special or cheap about Techfast?

    • +1

If its "sold by" or "ships from Amazon" you should be able to return it (from past experience).

  • Seems a good deal!

Anyone know of a good bargain on an SFX power supply?

Looking mainly for the Corsair SF750, but it doesn't seem to have been discounted in a long time, and a lot of previous deals are on Amazon, which now lead to a broken link.
Wondering if it's been discontinued or is about to be?

    • Wait a few more weeks, there should be deals on the Cooler Master V SFX Gold series which are the only other A Tier SFX power supplies with wide availability

      • Thank you, might wait it out then! You mean wait for BF yep?

    • Corsair only have 2 SFX models on their website now and they're both old.. might be leaving that market

      • Ahh interesting. That might explain it.

  • What are the options / issues with this for 12vhpwr

    • +1

Not wonderful. There are options but missing some features and there are also doubts over their safety.

Basically if you use 1000W and never want to use it with a recent high end Nvidia GPU again then this is a great buy. If you do then you should buy a new ATX 3.0 PSU which are scarce and relatively expensive at the moment.

A wave of new ATX 3.0 PSUs is expected in the near future which is why the old models are being cleared out.

    • Deepcool have not made any announcements regarding 12VHPWR cables

Theoretically, you could use the same cable that Seasonic is supplying free to specific customers but no one will test that for fear of blowing up their PSU and 4090

      There are basically 3 options:

      1. Skip RTX 40 series and buy AMD's 7900 series
      2. Buy a new ATX 3.0 power supply
      3. Buy a new ATX 2.4 power supply from a major brand like Seasonic, Corsair or be quiet! who have various 12VHPWR cable options
  • Good price for a 1000W PSU, so you can spend the saving on a new RTX 4090 GPU ;p

    • +1

If ur buying a 4090 ur doing the opposite of saving money ;)

  • That's enough for the 4090, but what about the rest of the PC?

    • This is for the rest of the pc tho XD

The 4090 needs a minimum of 450w alone even upto 550W if we're being safe, what else is gonna consume more/equal power compared to the 4090?

      • 13900k 350w on full load?

        • 13900k is an exception. Just increase the wattage

          • +1

@LuslecGrace: My budfet is not near 4090 at all lol.
Im thinking of 7600x + 7900xtx, so ordered this one yesterday.
            7600x undervolting: 70~100w
            7900xtx: 300~350w(hope)

By the way, the first guys concern might have reflected the efficiency of psu.
            E.g. 1000w psu shows 92% efficiency at 50% =500w
            So i assummed, if it's 4090+13900k, 450~550+300~350=750~900w
So may need 1200w psu to fit 75%usage - or even bigger one for better efficiency.

            • +1

@Tleaves: Yes 1200w is appropriate, 4090 is known to have power spikes.

Also ur build looks awesome, have to see if the 7900xtx will be in stock for a while instead of sold out

    • I don't think you'd be able to overclock with it.

  • Thanks Op.

Almost bought but going to hold out for a white PSU deal…if one ever comezzz

    • +1

      Spray paint it.

  • Thanks OP. Can I install two of these and run them in SLI? I need double the power for my CPUs.
