Better than your typical Sunday 10% surcharge
seriously any restaurant asks for 10% ? that is outrageous
Yeah
you do know that hospo workers are paid penalty rates on weekends right hence the weekend surcharge
@theebargainer: Not all restaurant charges a surcharge though
Have you paid hospitality staff penalty rates on Sundays? Yea…didn't think so.
Any bargain op?
haven't actually been able to find any place that accepts yums in melbourne
i think most people go to meat & wine co. havent been there yet myself tho
you must. free $48 steak in sitting fine dining restaurant, cant say no to that regardless what
thought it was like a normal bonus 1000 point code, and then double YUMS, but it is really a 500 point deal with double YUMS taking it to 1000 points total, so a bit misleading
Still 1000 Yums though so fair enough
I'll wait for a better offer, the 1000 bonus yums come up regularly, and then with double yums it is 2000 points. I am going to TM&Wco tomorrow for lunch with another bonus deal anyway. I was going to book for Jan sometime with this deal, but it can wait.
i think tm&wco doesnt allow redeeming yums on their lunch deals anymore, which sucks :(
@theebargainer: really?? I booked with YUMS because someone else had said you could, guess I will find out today….damn, I hope not. Too late now, we are leaving in a few hours. Worst comes to worst we just order a la carte. We don't eat that much at lunch so it would actually work out cheaper anyway, although I was looking forward to being a bit indulgent having 2 courses lol. I sent them a message through facebook, so will see what they say before we get there (if they reply in time)
@souths123: Can you let me know later then hahahaha
@theebargainer: can confirm that they allowed me to use my 2000 YUMS to take it off the total of our two Express Menu lunches, so only $48 for the 2 of us. Just double check when dining that they are going to allow it. Of course it would be cheaper to just order the rump for $32 and a drink and it would be cheaper, but we got to have much more value for the deal. Not something we would normally do and we are still both full hahahaha. Just remember to book redeeming YUMS and not the $49 menu, then order off the Express Menu when you are there, and that is the way you get both in the one sitting.
@souths123: Thanks mate! Which branch was this btw?
@theebargainer: Barangaroo…was packed in all the restaurants today….crazy. It was like it was weekend, not a Tues lunch
@souths123: damn i think it is inconsistent as I messaged them on fb and they replied saying yums can only be redeemed on ala carte, express lunch menus are excluded
@theebargainer: did the same thing yesterday (to the generic facebook page for all stores) and just got the same reply, but in store yesterday they honoured it….soooo, just ask them BEFORE ordering, just in case, like I did.
@souths123: will try that. thanks!
BEWARE:
surcharge of $5 per PERSON on SUNDAYs
