I was looking for travel insurance for a upcomming trip to Fiji. Covermore reviews weren't amazing and decided to go with Allianz instead. The extra 15% off helps!

My Allianz was 2/3 of the Covermore quote but Covermore added $100 for a Cruise where Allianz was only $20ish which is weird, I needed to add another $130 for Medical assessment on preexisting condition. I had already paid the Covermore and Iv used them before so Ill just keep it. The weird thing was that both of them had the exact same Medical assessment form..
This was 1/2 of the covermore price - for a family including a cruise trip . NO COVID cancellation cover though. (they DO cover covid illness/medical , just not cancellation related due to covid issues)
Allianz Cruise surcharge was $20 vs Covermore almost $200 extra.
However the Alliance payment page wouldn't load on any browsers - kept saying the payment gateway couldn't connect. So couldn't buy it. EDIT - It worked on Mobile
Would love to hear anyones experiences with Allianz, I'm considering purchasing this for a Europe trip.
One of the majors. My home, car insurance with them. Made 1 claim with car once, no issues whatsoever.
5 European countries over 3 weeks, comprehensive cover for two @$260. Not bad at all for one of the majors. Thanks OP
I compared this to NRMA… how are they still in business with the prices they charge? Cars, home, travel… everything costs more… my goto is always GIO and Allianz, but lately Allianz…

Trip 1 - 21 days, NZ
Cover More — $430 after discounts
Travel Insurance Direct —- $393 after discounts
Allianz — $382 after discounts
Trip 2 - 23 days, Asia + AUS
Covermore — $867 after discounts
Travel Insurance Direct — $626 after discounts
Allianz — $484 after discounts
Never used Allianz but my annual trip quote with them is $329 more than the equivalent for Cover-More (including 15% discount codes on both).
