2 Months Free for Existing Customer Starting a New Monthly Mobile Service: $24.90/22GB, $29.90/32G, $34.90/42GB @ Tangerine

101

This feels too good to be true if you're an existing Tangerine Telco customer. $0 for 2 months and you can cancel anytime per the T&Cs. Will be surprised if this stays open.
Add to that the 2x data bonus for the first 6 months and you could potentially have free mobile coverage and 168GB of free data over 2 months! Perfect for the overseas rellies arriving for Christmas or for saving money on NBN for 2 months.

The prices are reasonable even if you want to keep going beyond the two months.

$24.90 for 22GB / month (44GB in the first 6 months with double data bonus)
$29.90 for 32GB / month (64GB during first 6 months)
$34.90 for 42GB / month (84GB during first 6 months)

Plans allow for data banking up to 500gb, unlimited standard national calls and text, and calls to top 15 international countries (Bangladesh, Canada, China, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, UK & USA.)

Slight downer that download speeds are capped at 100mbps, but hey - that's still better than most NBN plans!

Other slight downer is one to keep an eye on. Per the T&Cs, you default to RRP once the 2 months are over and Tangerine reserve the right to amend this but will provide 30 days notice in writing if it is to change.

Get registering, I don't think this will hang around long!

I would not use Tangerine. Had them for a single day with NBN and barely any website worked due to their network level dns and some other crap. They claimed it was my location (just moved). They tried to get me to switch to the cellular home internet since "no provider will be better than them"

Switched to Telstra and surprise surprise no issues.

Edit: Just to reiterate, I would not trust their mobile plans either. If my NBN experience with them is anything to go by then they will throttle and restrict

    • Wow, OK. I moved from Aussie Broadband to Tangerine and Tangerine are infinitely better in my area.

Could be location based. I've been with Tangerine for a few years now and have had no issues at all.

      • Maybe, it was weird. The internet would also cut in and out. To be fair I am on FTTN via phone line. I doubt there are many of them left and might just be an edge case

        • Could be. I'm on FTTP

    • I've moved from ABB $129/month (1000/50) to Tangerine $55/month (100/20) no issues with them.

  • Gosh, I was getting so excited when looking at 2mths free ..then mobile came…

  • Can we have multiple services happening at the same time, up to maximum 5, all $0.00 for two months?

I'm pretty sure. I just received the 2 I ordered. You could stagger them a little, within a 3 month limit. They charge $10 to your account if you don't activate within 3 months.

Tangerine only reply one meg, all other megs not been replied…

they asked ID verification before sending the sim, but after ID verified, they NEVER send sims to you…

be careful, they keep your IDs but don't send any sims to you…they dont reply emails… they steal your IDs…

this is a fake ad, only to get traffic, get people to know that Tangerine exited. they steal your IDs…

should report to The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and let https://www.tio.com.au/ to investigate

    • Meh, don't know how you had such a poor experience but I'm currently using my SIM, no probs.
