This kit includes the gateway, so you don't have to buy anything.
If only they made a siren to go along with the motion sensors.
The hub may have a speaker built in which you can play sirens from when motion is detected.. at least you can with other brands of the same product
Remember that research has shown that homes with $10 ‘alarm monitoring’ stickers on windows all around the house work as well as $2000 security systems at deterring burglars. Plus good quality UV protected stickers will last 30 years plus.

was looking through some hub-less door sensor ranging from $25-$50 and came across your post.
reckon this will be my best bet for this range as a starter? not really keen on kogan ecosystem, this is most likely just a temporary solution to my case.
