Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 256GB $1999 Delivered (Less $600 Trade in Bonus, Device Trade in Value, $100 Loyalty Voucher) @ Samsung

240

I was looking to buy S22 ultra, tried to check out at Samsung, got $600 trade in bonus.

I did chat with the Samsung guys too and asked politely if they can give the loyalty voucher as i was upgrading a device and they happily gave one.

I was able to purchase S22 ultra 256gb @ $1294. $1999 - $600 (trade in) - $100 (loyalty voucher) - $5 (value of old phone)

Hope this helps someone.

Cheers

  • Hi op,Do you really have to trade in your phone?

    • not OP, but gone through the process a few times. You don't have to trade in your phone, but they charge you a $60 non trade in fee if you end up doing that.

      • +1

Have you done any recently ? They will now place a charge (with the trade in value) on your bank account so should the device not returned they will actually process that charge plus $60 admin fee

        • I did it when 22 ultra was launched in Feb

        • +1

Yes they will charge $60 + trade in value, but nothing about the $600 trade in bonus.

Question is, can I keep “trading in” the same phone valued at $5 each time I take up the trade-up offer? Never sent it back (was charged $65 but kept the $400 bonus), so wondering if I could use it again, or it’s effectively blacklisted

        • +1

It's blacklisted. Did a trade in with a phone last year and didn't return it, tried again with the same phone and they'd blacklisted it. Reached out to Samsung support who confirmed that has already used that phone for a previous trade in offer that's why it wasn't working this time around.

I was confused when I saw the original post.
Not sure this is even a good deal.

Seems average as it gets closer to 2023 model release in Jan

  • jb deal was much better with the double discount ended up like for $600 total for both phone and sim plan

  • +5

    iGalaxy's.
    No more head phone jack.
    No more micro SD expansion.

    • +7

No more charger in the box

    • Still yet to work out what phone to move towards because of this.

      • I picked up the pixel 7pro … but the camera array on the back felt so bulky and sharp and not nice to hold.

Hoping my current phone lasts through to the s23+.

  • +1

Is it $600 bonus or $400 bonus? Showing $400 bonus for me.

    • It says 400 bonus but when you apply your trade in id, $600 discount applies.

      • Great. Thanks for the update.

  • +2

What about epp program plus this?

    • ask for this too.

    • +2

      No bonus trade in

  • +4

May as well wait for s23 at this point.

    • That's a really helpful, thoughtful and not at all stupid comment to put in a discussion thread on Samsung. Thank you so much for your outstanding contribution.

      • Truth hurts eh.

  • +1

If there is another bonus $500 off im in

    • Might as well wait for them to pay to yo but this

      • Sorry?

    • I think JB HI Fi will have the deal soon.

    • yeah so wait until Samsung education store has s22 ultra 256 gb for 30% off so for $1399 and also check to see if JB Hi Fi has the $500 bonus so then you can get it for even cheaper

  • +3

Pretty sure $1300 was the price they were going for when released (after trade in).

    • +4

I remember S22 ultra was around $1280 or so in the student store without trading in March, can't remember the storage capacity,
S22 256 GB was $949 at the same time

      • Yep, I paid 1,454.30 for the 512GB in June

        • usually prices should be reduced with the time, isn't it? why is it si expensive now?

          • @bazingaa: Prices don't tend to go down much with flagship phones.
They just have really high RRP values to make you think it's cheaper but you can buy it on launch day for about $700 off.
The exception is Apple products which sell at their RRP - gift card discount.

  • How bad is the battery issu? Ive been eyeing this phone for a while waiting for good price. It seems the presale/early deals were better and haven't been matched since.
I might wait till Black Friday or else go on s23 presale..

I have a spare seat on the s23 bus

      • Token passing bus?

  • $40 trade in for me stopped at the point where samsung want to place a nominal cahrge on your credit card too many hoops to jump through.

  • +1

S23 series is not far off. The new Pixels are better buy I reckon at this time.

  • You can still get the $50 sign up voucher as well

  • +2

Problem is dealing with Asurion… And they really will try and charge you, even in 12 months time…

S22 Ultra has been brilliant for me. No battery problems at all. Was a big improvement over s21 ultra.

  • My device check keeps failing. S21U and it says your IMEi is currently blocked and cannot proceed to next step.

Any idea whats going on? I havent traded it in yet, so surprised how many IMEI would get blocked.

  • I noticed Samsung allowed you to trade up to 2 phones for a new device. The bonus offer ends 31st Oct.

So in theory, I could get $1200 off then?

    • You can trade in 2 phones, but only get 1 $600 bonus

  • So many hoops I feel tired.

  • Do offered me a 10% off 'loyalty bonus'

  • Why can't they just bring the price down $700!? I'd probably buy one then. Still rocking a samsung galaxy S4. Don't think they'll do a trade-in on this lol

Why it doesn't apply the trade in bonus ?

  • Not sure where to post it, but I received a message from jbhifi trade in people square trade saying that they found a variance in the condition of my returned device Samsung s21. They say the screen is defective and they would only pay $75 instead of $300. The screen was perfect when I sent it. Do I have any remedy here?
