    VDE has thicker plastic on the handles so not as comfortable when doing fine or repetitive work …these are designed for thinner wires and leads in electronic vs electrical , my electrical pliers and cutters are VDE, my ones for electronic work aren’t.

  It seems that the build quality is better from what ive read and hardness is slightly less but i think its worth it.

  There are quite a few different models on sale for ~$27, the shiny ones are less hard but more rust resistant than the black ones.
