I was looking one for my kid as we need more Lego store boxes and Amazon got the best deal at the moment for Prime members.
Not the cheapest compare to April 2021 but regardless cheapest for a while, currently $39 at Kmart.

As much as most Lego enthusiasts find not much value with all these basic pieces, they are among Lego set that always come with very little discount to none. I already got a big box and one of this one, just the box itself would cost half of the price.

And yes when they go on sale like this, I buy a tub. I add it to a giant crate that I have for my kids. They absolutely love it.
Is there any difference as in parts, build you can do, between this and 10698 (large box)?

Don't do it, this is how lego got it's hooks in me….it starts with buying for your kids and all of a Sudden you are buying UCS Falcon's for $1000
lol starts with a blind bag for $5.95, ends with a Falcon….in the same transaction
my problem is I always brought forward at least 10 sets of Lego and giving it away slowly to my kid, got one big technic set is only suitable for older kid have been around for a few year lol

Checking the price history the discount isn't massive. Has been this price for most of this year and has almost never been sold at RRP by Amazon.
Still a good deal for some basic bricks, but not worth jumping on if you weren't already looking to buy soon.
