Is this similar to PLA+ ?
Similar, but internal testing and customers have both found it to be significantly better.
What did you find that was significantly better over PLA?
It's much tougher than PLA+ (and of course PLA) and is practically inert against UV, we've had models out in the sun for almost 2 years with no noticeable degradation/yellowing.
How does it compare to PETG and ABS?
It's closer to PETG in that it plastically deforms rather than shattering, and it's also equivalently UV-resistant. However, as others have pointed out, the melting/glass transition temperatures are pretty much like regular PLA.
Esun PLA+ is cheaper, how does this compare?
here's 2 reviews from our customers in Singapore:
"Sir it is illegal to have PLA this strong, I broke a screw driver trying to pry the support off of a printed part" - 15 Sep 2021
"its really tough tougher than esun pla plus." - 01 Dec 2021
high performance
52 degree max temperature.
Still very much PLA then, PETG is still hard to beat for something that will last all year round in Australia in heat and UV
correct, this is still fundamentally PLA, so it won't do well in the car. It does, however, have UV resistance rivalling that of PETG.
Rep, for the life of me I can't see how to apply the 20% coupon, it doesn't seem to show in the cart, shipping or payment screens?
I am so sorry, we're getting this sorted out ASAP.
EDIT: It should be working now, simply re-fresh the checkout page. If not, please let me know again.
How tough?
