I just bought 4x single monitor arms off PRISM+ which arrived today from this post. I soon realised that they appeared to be very similar to these Advwin ones from Amazon. If they are the same construction, I can confirm they are great quality as I'm still very happy with mine.

Perhaps a deal on married monitor arm will sway you.

Are your sure you didn’t read the reviews for this by mistake? Breville The Handy Mix & Store

  • any deals for something that holds about 12kg?

  • Great price but up to 32" only and the Xiaomi curve monitor is 34"? Mmm…

    • only if it was up to 8kg in weight

Fwiw, the size rating on a monitor arm is generally the rotation clearance. ie. A 32" monitor will rotate between portrait and landscape, while with a 34" ultrawide, the corner is likely to bang into the desk if you try to rotate it. (You could still do it, you would just have to spin the arm away from the desk, rotate the monitor, and then spin it back over the desk. But that is not very convenient…)

But if you are just using it in landscape all the time, then that is not an issue.

The bigger issue is the weight rating is pretty close. And weight ratings are for FLAT screens. A curved monitor curves forward, so the weight is distributed further forward, acting like a lever. So the force on the monitor arm will be more than a flat monitor. So you'd want to give yourself a bit more leeway.

Fwiw, I have/had a 34" ultrawide (kogan - same panel as Xiaomi, and somewhat similar weight I believe) on a North Bayou F80. I believe their weight rating is a little bit higher (9kg from memory).

  • My 38" LG ultrawide is only 7.7kg without the stand.

What are these arms like at their rated limit?

  • i think this design is better. i have dual now but thinking to get 1 more single. so 2 monitors plus 1 laptop

@vrb: So you will do dual plus single? Not too crowded for your desk? What is your Desk size if i may ask.

            • @CyberMurning: I already have 2 singles for two 27" monitors. I guess I will go for another single for the laptop. Desk is 160/80. It is kind of a perfect fit with the laptop at an angle to the left where i got a bit of space to the wall.

              • @vrb: my desk 160/75ish so very similar - please post photo with 3 arms when ready :)

  • No more coupons i think?
