Hi folks, as we did with 30 series cards, we have secured decent numbers of Gainward Phantom RTX 4090 24GB cards. They are expected to arrive in the first week of November. There is no lower price in Australia. Enjoy!

Can you link those reviews?
Has anyone who bought this card got a tracking or delivery yet ?
Nup
How many people actually ordered this card here?
I would say a fair few. Me included.
I did
i ordered one, seems like they dont reply to emails! like whats going on ?
They replied to mine and many others but they gave vauge non answers regarding the hold up.
I don't believe they are not going to deliver the cards. I just believe that they are sourcing these in a bit of a shady way. So if there's a hold up in that process they can't exactly disclose it to us. (hence why they used the cable swap reason that gainward denied)
Do you reckon the shadiness is concerning enough to potentially ask for a refund? Honestly I'm starting to think the extra $300 or so for a local card is worth it just for the peace of mind
Yep I'm also considering purchasing somewhere else as I got an offer for 3000 AUD for a gigabyte 4090 OC ( used for one week)…
Don't know why they didn't reply me at all…
@xjcs88: If you check eBay there’s a few available for $2900 w $5 eBay plus
@Austere: Sometimes refunds on preorders can be a pain. That's your call. If you manage to open a line of communication with them about it keep us updated.
@Matthew xxl: Yep. Let us use this thread to communicate and keep each other in the loop for all communications sent by techfast.
@varunbabu008: Ideally techfast actually has something to say as well. Because they have made comments in later deals after this one. The silence is what is turning us off.
@Matthew xxl: Yeah. Spot on. I noticed that as well.
In fact I have just skimmed through the 7 pages of comments on this deal page and noticed that they have not responded to a single question.
However I did get some replies when I messaged them directly via Ozbargain and email. Not sure what to make of it though !
@varunbabu008: I've had multiple replies from the update email (untruth) regarding cables being swapped. To emails vaugely saying how everything is going according to the previous update when replying to my email asking them to explain why gainward says they aren't replacing any cables.
Ive also had two pms answered. So they are conciously choosing not to reply here. Leaving us with no choice but to guess what is happening.
And my guess is that they don't want to be seen publically telling us untruths regarding the process of getting them.
@Matthew xxl: Hopefully they come out and say something so that their customers don't go elsewhere. 3k AUD is nothing to sneeze at and for starters I would like to see better communications on this. Gainward coming out and refuting Techfast claims does not look good on them either. I have concerns on the RMA process as well since Gainward mentioned that Techfast is not an official distributer.
Anyways I really hope they get this sorted. Unfortunately my LG C2 that I got to play 4k 120Hz is gathering dust ;-)
That being said. I do not believe they will run away with the funds. That's very unlikely. And we are saving 500 to 900. Which is significant.
So it's ultimately each of our calls. Personally I'm not a fan of spending 500 to 900 more. Particularly if techfast warrenty issues are solved.
However. Techfast. If you are reading this. Just communicate to us. Your silence is what's making us assume and dig. Not your explanations nomatter what they are.
The onus is on the business to resolve this issue in a timely and reasonable matter.
I hope it doesn't come down to this as I think each business deserves the right to correct mistakes or wrongs made; however, if you cannot get a satisfactory answer, file a report with the ACCC so they can investigate if the business is liable for:

Per comment at bottom - 4090s next week!
Sorry i can't find the comment, where is it meant to say that?
4090 Update
Good news - the communicated timeline of us receiving and dispatching them next week looks to be holding. Thank you for your patience.Cheers,
Caleb and Luke
Anyone's card dispatched yet?
Was about to ask the same question, not for me.
Not for me either. I tried reaching out on the estimated shipping date yesterday.
Haven't heard back yet
part of me is skeptical they'll actually dispatch the cards this week
Better think about what to do if they just keep silent and don't dispatch it…
I don't know much about TechFast since this is my first order from it, is it a reputable seller? I assume it is because I saw many past posts from Techfast and people seemed to be satisfied.
I haven't heard from any side (Luke, sales email, support email) after I paid…
Still waiting for mine to dispatch, No replies from emails regarding this either… all this silence is only making them look bad, even a small reply stating its still on its way is better than outright silence.
Wednesday afternoon, any lucky one got any update for us?
This is getting stressful. I emailed them this morning again.
No response
Since they keep posting new deals, I don't think they decide to clarify this case any sooner…
No luck yet, no updates, no email replies…
Nothing here either
Any chance you're gonna run this one again @luketechfast?
Thursday morning, no update.
Same. I think I could have saved more money by leaving the 2.8k AUD that I paid to Techfast over a month ago in my bank account HISA than saving a 200$ on the 4090$. ugg. What was I thinking !
Expected delivery in First week of November and now we are in the last week of November. My disappointment is immeasurable !!
I'm not really familiar with the consumer law in Au, any specific for such scenario? (Took money but refused to communicate and dispatch)
Is this should be reported to ACCC posted earlier here?
Yeah this is getting ridiculous. Literally any news is good news at this point, at least it's better than complete silence…
This is really stupid, even if it was delayed longer I wouldn't even mind… Just tell us what's going! Anyone live down that way able to swing into the shop and ask what is going on?
I got an email (you guys should see it as well) saying it is delayed and no ETA for now. They were shipped and waited for custom clearance.
I guess we won't be able to get it in Nov.
I got a email reply about the situation, I am happy to wait so its no drama for me, just glad to get an update to relieve my anxiety.
Hi All,
Firstly, thank you once again for your patience in this extended delivery situation. Here is the update as of 24/11: the cards shipped according to our previous communications of this week, and have entered international customs processing. We can't give a definitive timeline on their release. Of course, as soon as we receive them, they will be dispatched immediately, and via express post. If you paid express post, we will happily refund the difference from regular post - please let us know if this is the case.
We also acknowledge and would like to apologise for the delay in communication - we have absolutely seen that our customers have been wanting updates. We have been holding off communications to avoid multiple messages going out at different times, in the hope that we'd have confirmation of delivery this week and could tell everyone at once. Now we know for certain that we won't receive them this week, we can communicate this to you. It is not an ideal situation.
If you would like to cancel, you may of course do so at any time. Additionally, when they do arrive, we would be happy to offer the card to you at the original purchased price - you will find that the current sale price of 4090s has risen since launch. But if you wanted to cancel and refund, and then purchase when they come in, we can do that.
Thanks Luke for sharing some update here.
Just wondering Gainward declined that they had ever hold the card due to the cable change, which was different from what Techfast shared before. What happened there?
I'd honestly avoid Gainward cards and stick with the usually brands. Had the same delay when i ordered the 3000 series with Techfast. On top of all that the card had temp issues like the hot spot hitting 100degrees. I'm sure the card was faulty, as i would get constant crashes in every game I played. (I've tested 3 other gpus and had no issues) So i sent it back for RMA, They couldn't replicate the crashing with what ever benchmarking they did and said temps were fine. Yet the gpu is being sent back to the Gainward due to a Led light bar issue. Was told it could be 6-8 weeks, Its now coming up on the 8 week mark. Other rma's I've had in the past have been done in less than a month. I have emailed just seeing if there is any update, get told the manufacturer has the gpu, then a few weeks later get told the manufacturer has received the gpu. So seems a bit of a shit show to me and recently only seeing the reviews for the place and the struggles others have had, makes me wish I didn't go down this rabbit hole. Worst comes to worst I'll look into my options with Accc, rather get a refund for the faulty card and be done with it.
That's pretty normal when it comes to GPU RMAs, I had a pump fail on an EVGA 3080 card and it took around 8 weeks to get it replaced. I don't think anyone can actually service the cards in AU so you're no better off with any other manufacturer. TBH you probably shouldn't have bothered for an LED issue.
Also this is one of the best performing 4090 designs, being relatively compact and higher performance than most. And after recent poor experience with AIO GPUs seems like the best option still
I couldn't of cared less about the LED issue, it was more the temps and the constant crashing in games. Tried in another pc to, same issues.. I had a gpu replaced in my sons pc with in a month via rma, but then thats the only other gpu i've had to rma.
Pretty hard to call out temps as the issue when the chip is designed to thermal throttle
@Austere: Its not hard to call out temps, considering i borrowed a mates 3080 ti, it ran 20-25 degrees cooler than my 3080 and didn't have hotspot temps hitting 100 degrees. Hmm i think there's a issue
The GS model is the mode you’re thinking of, not this
Also wasn’t EVGA letting people know turn around d times were god awful at the time?
GS is same thing w pre-overclock
@Austere: So that non GS model is not the best performing, correct?
@Lolitsjoel: Seems unclear. See above https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12866004/redir
Anyone have any idea one way or the other?
@bboT: I would assume there's nothing stopping you from using a 600W cable / adapter
I decide to go for a refund and probably buy a normal $3099 gigabyte one.
Good luck with others!
Hey. Any offers on the gigabyte OC card ?
Not quite an offer, just normal 3299 and it was 3099 on BPC and Mwave.
I just don't want to wait desperately…
hopefully next week we are getting the cards ?
Hopefully!
Hey. Anyone got any updates from Techfast?
Surely the cards can’t the stuck at customs for this long !!
Yeah I think its been long enough since the last update, anyone got any news?
emailed em yesterday morning, still nothing
Did they reply?
@Yelrav: nope
taking along time for customs.
How do you cancel your order for this card?
Much appreciated. Thank you.
Anyone had further updates, been 2 weeks now since last update saying waiting in customs and a bit weird that Gainward is denying even before that they were going to replace cables.
I wonder if they're trying to delay to get people to cancel orders so can sell for more now lol…
Would be pretty impressive if they did that
I also had that thought, but aren't tech fast willing to refund and honour price of cards when they come in? Or did I read that wrong
That look good on paper, but imagine this, when you want to cancel, you probably dont want to mess with them anymore, who would want to cancel then buy it again for the same price? If by the time you did that, they could just say out of stock because many people preordered, then you basically got your money hold again and still in their cycle plan.
Trust me these guys are dorgy AF. Dont let them hold your money, even if they are willing to refund to you
no updates, shot them an email on monday but haven't heard anything back.
same no updates, emailed them also.
''Apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
I can assure you that we are not lying regarding the delays on the cards. Unfortunately, we are still awaiting their arrival to our warehouse.
I have been told we should expect these to arrive some time next week, but I am not able to confirm for certain.
Please advise if you would like to proceed with a refund, and I will cancel your order and process a refund request to our finance team.''
I got reply. All I want to say is this, avoid techfast as a business, dorgy way to run, They still open for order while nobody here get the card (available 1st week Nov, shipping next busness day, etc.). Also price was change to original price so all the order on full price and later this month probably get the card after the old deal order was tired of waiting and cancelled
Cant even explain why they are all lying all around
My thought was this 4090 order is just to get holding all your money to build all of the prebuild pc (even prebuild pc are delayed/took very long for a simple part)
What they are lying: Cable replacement, logistic took like a month and still fake promising,
Well I shot them an email this morning, they really need to deliver some good news soon… all this ambiguous waiting is fraying alot of nerves.
I’av cancelled my order with Techfast as well.
Any issues doing so?
No. They replied straight away and processed my refund. The money should hit my account in 3-5 business days
Thats was fast because I guess thats just what they are waiting for, all the 2799$ order cancelled and filled up with the new order ~3100$, just avoid them, piece of shit to me
You guys dont even have a proper warranty and all that for just 100 to 200$ save on money with all the lies they gave you
@kinkara: Mate I understand you aren't happy dealing with Techfast, but why did you see the need to hang around and speculate on the why they are doing what they are doing? It's easy to make wild assumptions due to them being slow to reply… but its just as easy to believe that they really can't say more on the subject as it stuck in transit and they aren't getting updates on it, their communication could definitely be better… but as someone who works in bulk wholesale Industry myself I personally know its a big PITA sometimes tracking shipments from overseas, so personally I am going to wait a bit longer.
@Yelrav: I can't understand here. You placed an order with a seller and they delayed the dispatch again and again, they provided some 'reasons' without any proof and you are asking the customers 'why did you see the need to xxx'…
I also asked what happened with the 'cable change' drama and they refused to explain it. Are we paying and begging TechFast for some mercy?
I'm happy I cancelled my order earlier.
@Yelrav: The problem to another problem here is they lies on the delay reason, dont you feel anything or your just their puppy? Anything happen on purpose, this is not a lotto where whatever happen is acceptable, cancel order they reply in matter of minute but when you ask for when to recieved, they lies infinite amount of times or not even reply to you
@kinkara: Puppy?
Well can't believe they still haven't respond since last time..
Hey I just checked my email, got an update and screenshot on what's happening with the shipment, It is indeed stuck In customs so I am satisfied nothing crazy is going on.
Copy (de-identified) here, if you're comfortable?
Pardon me?
No way you got that info from them, better show here to proof your not their puppy
Can vouch for this, I received a reply back with some images showing the delivery process from their end. I'm happy to wait
@Yelrav Im trying to warn people careful when dealling with techfast due to their bad reputation and this guy has notthing but giving good word just like them telling lie and unresponsive
I tell you one more time for you to open your eyes
Fake Announcement of cable replacement (2-3 weeks)
cant answer on Warranty as techfast are not Gainward partner/supplier( I have email from gainward to proof for that). So they are reseller, anything from reseller are getting warranty from reseller, you think with that reputation they getting now, where will it goes?
I got total of 4 email from them saying sure next 1 or 2 week I will recieved order, only the last email before I cancel they say next week but they not certain on it(finally some honest they have)
AT THE MOMENT, They still open for order and its full price, with the description as next day delivery, available at first week Nov. So tell me if you are new and believed that, where are we now?
People are tired of waiting for this low end card while 4090 stock are available from other store depend on model. All this hassle and waiting and being lies to for just 200$ and no warranty, maybe worth it if you can get the card, but life is not working that way
I can say now your just their puppy, do you even have order from them or just mouthful talk?
Always with the puppy talk. Your own mouthful is coming across as most disrespectful…
And you re just talk back without any sharing for community, Im who's puppy? You or me?

End users should contact the store where the graphics card was purchased to claim warranty.''
@kinkara: ''Dear customer
Thank you for the mail.
Actually currently Gainward doesn’t have official distributors in Australia.
And Techfast is also not our direct customers.
So we are also confused why and where the news came out.
The cables Gainward currently used on the RTX 40 have been inspected by NVIDIA team and found no issues.
And Gainward is not holding any RTX 40 shipment to replace the cables, and has no plan to do so.
Please kindly be notified.
Thanks.
Best regards''
@kinkara: "And you re just talk back without any sharing for community, Im who's puppy? You or me?"
Actually, I was just directly quoting your insults in the previous post with all the nonsense accusations of mouthfuls of puppies. LOL!
As you'll find from my previous comments and posted deals, I generally try and provide relevant information rather than accusations of any posters whose opinions I disagree with. But you do you this Christmas…
I just thought I would add an update. I cancelled on 8th December after a long wait and managed to get an ASUS TUF 4090 for MSRP of 2959 $. It was delivered yesterday. 3 years local AUS warranty as well !
Techfast was testing my patience and I couldn't wait any longer. It wasn't a good experience to be honest. To those who have more patience than me, I Hope you get the cards delivered soon.
How long after ordering the asus did you get it/where did you order from out of curiosity?
Umart, They shipped it the next day after I ordered. Ordered on Thursday afternoon and Delivered Monday.
Price back to normal now ($3299).
I personally wouldn't spend that much on a Gainward tbh, reviews have shown this card to run hotter than most, plus there's no warranty centre I Australia if things start melting lol
If you don't care about brand or looks, Inno3D iCHILL X3 OC is the best bang for buck, lot of reviews say the cooler is beefy and the card runs cool compared to high end 4090s that are $3600-3700. I'm still waiting for the MSI SUPRIM X LIQUID to turn up at my door :(
