  how does this make sense when the kc3000 is 189 still on sale for 2tb..and a vastly superior drive.

  Most motherboards have a heatsink now.

  Only use case i can see this making sense is a Ps5..

  but then i have to ask how many bloody games you have installed lol

    It doesn't make sense, I bought one of these for 194 last year. Also just bough the 2TB KC3000 for $162 last week and $13 for a heatsink to go in my ps5. Not worth it at all.
