$200 cheaper than every other store for this model so it's better than nothing i guess with these overpriced cards .

Cheers. I've got 270hz at 1440p right now but will look into 144hz at 4k. Is DDR5 worth it for predominantly gaming or stick with DDR4?
5800x3d is only DDR4. DDR5 would be if you want to build an AM5 system with something like the 7700x, but it's going to cost you like twice as much as the AM4 system with the 5800x3d for a similar level of performance.
You could build an AM5 system and upgrade to the 7700x3d which will be released sometime next year, but I think it'd still be better to just go for AM4 now and wait and see what the 7700x3d, and by then AM5 mobos and DDR5 will have come down a lot in pricing as well.
Which brand has the best 4090 AIB version seen so far ?
I like the MSI Suprim X and Asus ROG Strix. The best is yet to come with the Galax HOF version.
what's funnier is that 3090's during the gpu shortage were selling for more than this and some people were buying them
Some people = Chinese miners using Yuan wrapped in gold rubber bands.
Honestly I would bite at $2k but I imagine that won't be until 5xxx series is 12 months away.
In 24 months, the new generation is released every two years. I guess the price drop would depend on how much 5090 is improved.
What's the word in amd?
Nvidia saw what people were willing to pay during pamdemic and it appears it wants the whole pie.
$2959 for the non OC version https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/gv-n4090wf3-24gd-gigabyte…
one rtx4090 or ps5 + xbox series x + switch pro + meta quest 2 + steam deck
PS5 + 4K tv with change. Truly mind blowing when you think of it like that.
PS5 + 4K 144hz monitor + A decent pc
Any discount on bulk buy? lol
Seriously, this is insane
What's funny is there is actually people that would bulk buy. Probably scalpers but seriously
For those who are wondering:
Yes, you will be able to play Fortnite at 30 FPS with this card.
Yes, it will keep your home warm during winter/spring.
For those who are wondering:
These jokes aren't funny anymore.
Yes, it's no longer 2009.
For those who are wondering:
Yes, an epic fail at making fun of someone.
Yes, no one cares.
Keep going this is your second comment I've upvoted
My my we’ve gone a long way since my Riva TNT2
back then, I had a SIS 5598 with Pentium-MMX and my friend got a RIVA with AMD DURON, I used to go to his place every day after school to watch games lol.
Thanks for the deal just grabbed one .
Now waiting on my 7950x to arrive.
You better also get a power supply to match.
Lowkey laughing at all the people who kept saying not to buy 3000 series cards during EOFY as the 4000 is around the corner. HoOoLDd
The same people who said the 4000 series would be cheap as well.
Yep. Spot on. Sub 1k 3080s look pretty smick now.
The 3090 for $1499 was a great deal in hindsight. But HDOL.
there was a deal for $1400
If a 3080 still costs 1k and the performance of a 4090 is roughly double then ideally this could be $2200~ after some time.. That's more fair I feel.. For a release day price it's the usual
Gotta wait at least 2 years, if at all
I thought these might move slower as people weren't as prepared to pay these high prices anymore but checked the Newegg US site to see what USD prices were like and every card is out of stock already
By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings.
LOL @ those who were waiting and holding for a bargain in recent weeks/months…
According to the reviews that I’ve seen, the 4090 seems almost too fast to make any sense. Even the fastest of CPUs can bottleneck the 4090.
Also, there aren’t any games yet that make a 4090 worthwhile. Perhaps future UE5 games will change that, but for now there simply isn’t enough of a return in visual fidelity for the price.
Battlefield 2042 at 4k would probably max out this card :) or someone with 48" widescreen IMO
My God so many sulkers here justifying publicly why they won't buy the card. Let's be real even if it was 50% cheaper you'd be whining about it be too expensive still. It is what is, you want it? Buy it. You don't want it? Don't buy it.
My only advice would be to see what AMD bring to the table in Nov.
agreed.. and most of the sulkers are complaining it's too expensive for gaming. Well duh, that's not the market it's aimed at. Content creators who actually earn an income from their PCs will love it though. I'd be buying one but my case is just that little too small and I bought a watercooled RTX last year. So maybe next year I'll be looking at replacing my 3 year old system with a 7950, DDR5, RTX 4090. With it pretty much halving the time taken for common editing and rendering processes it will save me lots of time and time is money.
I’m tempted as it may have some professional uses with the RAM and Cuda core increase.. will wait for benchmarks as it’s probably not a huge increase over the 3070 I’ve got now. Could never justify this as a gamer though..
The year was 2022 the once popular ozbargain site known for its great deals finally surcumb to trolls posting $3099 as a "bargain" shortly after society began to collapse i write this in hopes that anyone who finds it may learn from our races mistakes
Maybe try contributing to this site by posting deals at all instead of just complaining.
HODL! GPU crash incoming when all miners sell their GPU.
hmm buy a second hand, ran overclocked 24/7 then cleaned by a hose down in the garden? I think most people are passing on the GPUs that miners abused.
Gigabyte, nah. I do have some bad experience with both its motherboard and GPU.
I have a Gigabyte H77 which got stuck by lightning, USB dead but still works for years.
Remember this is a new stack now. 4090 is actually supposed to be a 4080. They introduced 3090 as titan class but we all know that its the 3090ti which was titan class. Now they are even selling a 4070 as 4080 Huge scams from nvidia
c'mon this is not a bargain
Amazing performance, not so amazing price in AUD at least.
It's an expensive product but compared to 3090 MSRP, it's only $100 USD step up.What I find rather f'd up is the pricing in Australia. Noting that:
3090 MSRP is $1,500 USD (A$2,429)
4090 MSRP is $1,600 USD (A$2,959)Even when you factor in currency exchange rate, how does $100 USD translates to $530 AUD?
As amazing as the card is right now, I'd rather just sit back and wait until the prices relaxed down (probably wont happen with how sad AUD is currently) and/or wait how RDNA3 fares against the 4090.
Don't forget to factor in GST!
OOS, game over
If u can't afford this where tf u aaaaaaaaat

5800x3d with 32gb (2x16gb) of 3200mhz cl16 DDR4. You will also need to be using a 4k (2160p) 144hz monitor, the 4090 is a total waste of money for 1080p, 1440p or 4k 60hz.
