        I tried to create a TCN account to redeem the giftcard. i get an endless loading screen after submittings the 2FA code

        • Yeah same here. I can see the Moccona Mastercard and then the loading animation. There is also what seem to be a button "View card information"which doesn't work anyway.

    As for loading screen, I called TCN support. The guy instructed me to uninstall and reinstall app. Login , logout and login again then I can see my card and balance. Try this!

      Does it block you if you've already submitted with a particular mobile number etc? If not and it meets the criteria, I'd just try to submit again.

      It was a perfect image of the receipt too. I've sent them yet another copy. Let's see what happens.

    This promo is the very personification of amateur hour. Yes, pretty website but the actual processing of the cashback is shambolic.

    Frankly, it is quite self-defeating. I'm now far less likely to buy Moconna than I was before.

          Moccona is owned by JDE who also owns some other brands sold here like LOR. It also supplie beans to Harris.

    • Probably got warning on the payout amount so manually getting processed.

      Team probably thought it was be good to us this to automate the process. Add text to a database and filter if there is existing data - Yes, deny claim; No, accept claim. Probably issued the promotional budget of $5-10k already (just based on clicks from Ozbargain $11k-17k min. at discounted prices for beans and $11 for instant coffee.)

      Probably using the same system but added another double verification process that requires manual input to trigger event.

        Starting to remind me of the Ben and Jerry's cashback promo of 4 or 5 years ago, which imho remains the worst cashback debacle in ozbargain history.

        They would demand you to resubmit receipts and if you didn't do it within 12 to 24 hours the claim would be cancelled. And there wasn't a problem with the receipts it was just part of their MO to deny claims. There were several other hoops that you had to jump through as well that were time sensitive.

  • TCN app going around in circle to add giftcard to wallet.. Never ending verification SMS. Is there anyone having the same issue?

    • Seems like they changed SMS OTP providers and pushed an update on the app store to reflect the new API. New SMS comes from "CardGift" with a generic OPT. If you haven't updated the app to the latest you will still be receiving SMS from "CardNetwork" and the loop will start.

    • I just submitted mine yesterday. Not much of a 'real coffee' drinker..but trying to see if I like it, it's gonna be real sour taste if I can't get the rebate.

      Mine was just validated, my partner still only received the message that it was submitted.

As it is only 1 claim per person permitted, in order to review your entry we will require to see a form of ID that validates your name and DOB that you entered with.     What if i didn't give real information due to privacy act????? what should I response? Should I just return the product to coles?

      If you can't provide proof of identity to prove you are a real person and therefore a different person to the one that has already used your debit card and your Flybuys card then your claim is invalid. There's no more you can do.

      You should use a real name for these promotions or take the risk that they'll decline the payment. You could use any one of your family member's names such as your partner or children as long as they haven't entered the promotion.

      You will also need to pay with cash or at the very least make sure you use a different debit card and a different Flybuys card or just don't use your Flybuys card at all. After all it's just a few points.

      Oh no, didn't expect them to be so "thorough". No wonder takes them a week to approve. I only bought one. Wouldn't want to go through the trouble again. And it is common family members use the same flybuys card and share the same credit card. Hope you can exchange for something else. Have uou done it already?

      I wouldn't want to email them copy of driver's licence unless I block my licence number, address and DOB.

        I sent email to coles for exchange, just in case when they reject me in store, I've had a proof showing that I am eligible for exchange products instore.

        It is common but you will get better deals when you use different flybuys cards. Instead of a spend $110 every week to get bonus points on one card you might get the spend $50 per week offer on each card and therefore get twice as many bonus points.

        You also should have an additional cardholder to share a credit card account with someone and not share the same physical card. The bank will help you out getting an additional cardholder on the account.

        These offers are one per person so if it looks like one person bought the item twice that's what they use to determine that so next time pay cash and don't use flybuys for the second purchase.

          I've actually had it more than once that the additional card has the exact same number, just a different name on the card.

          Better advice would be to use Google/Apple pay, they create a virtual card number, so will be different in the receipt.

    The TCN app is hot garbage - cannot access the card, even after logging in and out and deleting and reinstalling the app. There goes my cashback.

      Rewards will be loaded with the value of the original purchase price paid by the claimant for the Participating Product as indicated on their purchase receipt.

        everyday dollar is still actual money but that said the promoter can easily perceived this different. yes. feel guilty now for it.

        whilst there are a lot of success that we use flybuys dollars as purchase with other promotions in the past, so that's why tried here. but seems everyday reward dollar come in a $10 chunk that looks very different on the docket than flybuys dollar that can be use at any value

  • I submitted on 11th Oct (exactly 10 business days ago). I got a verification code via text. That's it. Nothing more (no email, nothing). I've submitted a message from their webform. We'll see what happens.

      What beans do you normally buy?

      • Only just started using a coffee machine again after years of instant coffee. Any of the vittoria seems heaps better. The mild roast moccona I got doesn't even smell right and as soon as I opened the bag I was disappointed. Worst coffee I've had in a long time and thats saying something 🤷

        • All it's saying is you haven't had real coffee for a long time and were perfectly happy drinking instant.

          The medium roast is equal to or better than most supermarket coffee, if you want much better coffee, get freshly roasted beans elsewhere.

    Received my card just now for $34. I purchased and claimed on Saturday 22/10, purchased from Coles, paid via gift card and FlyBuys dollars mix.

      Same here. Activated my TCN digital Mastercard. Show $17 in TCN app but cannot use it due to error retrieving card information. Also, cannot add it to Applepay. A useless card in essence.

                    This promo has reminded me how overrated Moccona is for R&G now as well as Instant. The best before date of their packs is much shorter than a brand such as Lavazza, which could mean several things, including inferior packaging.
                    The frigging around with the gift card was just the icing for me.
                    Still - each to their own.
                    I'll keep buying what I bought before.

  • Finally got it to work. Guess they read my email and sorted it out in the back end.
    Never heard back from TCN. What a lot of effort for a bag of very ordinary beans.
    I should have just returned them but I felt guilty.

    • The promoter may have found something identical. e.g. 3 or 4 last digits of both card number and flybuys are matched on the two receipts (as mentioned by other above), last few digits same eGC used on the two receipts as the previous remaining balance on the first one matched the initial balance on the second one.

    My claim was declined. I opted in for eReceipts at WW, I did ask at WW to print the receipt, but since it mentions duplicate the claim is "invalid".
    I didn't get any update from Moccona on this, after I contacted them they said it was already declined 1.5 weeks ago but I never got an update on this.
    I used to buy Moccona regularly before this promotion, well, this is enough for me to stop buying any Moccona products!

    • I sent in an e-receipt from my app in PDF form. Initially it was rejected as the receipt was "unreadable" (not sure how). I replied to the rejection with another PDF copy of the receipt and it was approved.

      When I bought my coffee, I forgot the receipt. went back to the coles service desk 10 min later and ask them to print a receipt, it had DUPLICATE on the top of it and I didn't have a problem.
