I don't think this is the XT variant as per your description 🙂
Ooops, already edited…Not the lowest price in history:
the Asus RX6650XT looks reasonable at $439.12 for Plus members.
Is 6600 a good upgrade from 1060 3GB? Not gaming that much and have a 32" 4k monitor but older CPU.
6600 XT better if it's near $350 or lower.
Should be at least twice as fast but I would wait a little longer for next gen since it's close.
Next gen wont be this price and we wont see next gen low/midrange until mid 2023
is intel arc also releasing in Aus on 12th oct?
Should be some added price pressure from that
Twice as fast.. at 100w usage.. so lower temps .. less power draw twice the performance huge upgrade
Thanks will wait for 6600 XT to get cheaper.
6600 xt is 15% faster.. so if you want less power usage/price this card will be fine.
Still using i7-4790 32GB Ram, will it bottleneck the XT?
@superforever: Depends on what resolution, what games, ram speed, framerate
@Ahbal: RX 6600 and 6600XT require PCIe Gen 4.0 to not be bottlenecked IIRC
@Gamer Dad Reviews: True, but the bottleneck is only 1-2% IIRC.
The 6500xt has a heavy bottleneck, up to 30-40%, due to being a 4x pci-e laptop card. (6600/xt are 8x).
I got one of these for $340 a few months back - much faster and cooler than my old RX580.
Says code expired
Just a 6600. Has been around this price for the ASUS model previously and cheaper for others
