good price, use mine all the time

Make sure you need the 8L (massive cookups or big families), as it is huge.

5.7L probably does the trick for most people; I usually cook to get about 6-8 servings at a time.

But yeah, can't give electric pressure cookers enough praise - life changing!

    • Would you not recommend this size for a family of 4?
Been wanting to buy this, but maybe I should wait for 5.7L to go on sale.

Have the 8L philips one for family of 4 (w still young kids) and it's about the right size. We don't use the whole capacity, but for sure will once kids get older and eat more

        • thanks for that

If you've got the space and happy with a bulky appliance, go for it, especially if you want to make some dank leftovers of 8+ servings.

For me, renting as a single or couple (depending if someone foolishly decides to date me at any given moment), 5.7L is the sensible option!

I highly recommend this one. Dont buy the 5L that is not enough space .

        • thanks

        • Why is it not enough space? If you cook for 1 would it not be…if you cook for 25 not even the 8l is enough. Perhaps provide some context for others?

      • 8L, my 8L one pumps out around 4-5 food servings at a time

      • I have an 8L for a family of 4 and wouldn't go smaller. Doesn't have to be full every time. Stocks/broths and pot in pot cooking need the extra room.

If you’re making pulled pork you can fit a decent piece in without cutting it up in the 8L. I use one as a single person but I meal prep most of the time.

Just go for the biggest one available, you can always cook small amounts in a big pot, but never large amounts in a small pot.

    • I agree, I have the 5.7 with 2 small kids and its perfect.

  • Does it come with non stick pot ?

    • From my experience buying the 5.7L version, it only comes with a stainless steel pot. Non-stick ones are available for purchase separately.

    • Stainless steel only

This or the 6l Russell Hobbs for $111 at Big W. ?

With 2 teenagers might need the bigger one.

    • I like instant pot because of the stainless steel pot. I have a cheaper pressure cooker and it's just no where near as good

      • Agree. The problem I've had with non stick pots, in the past, is I couldn't get rid of the smell from previous stuff I cooked. The stainless steel seems to clean better.

  • The one with the sous vide is a better deal. Was previously available from Costco.

    • Still available from Costco but I would wait until it is on special again. This happens fairly regularly.

      • Yeah I agree

    • What is the sous vide option? Is it a temperature setting feature or something else?

  • What are the pros and cons for getting this or the Crisp? Obviously the air fryer component is a pro.

    • +2

thats the version ive got, honestly the airfryer isnt worth it if thats the selling point. too small and the basket is very fiddly to change sides of what your cooking. better off with a discrete air fryer

      • Thanks.

      • +1

Depends how much stuff you want to fry, the basket for the 8L one reduces the capacity from 4 servings to 2 servings, which is fine for us. Dedicated airfryer is better but the crisp works well.

I use 8L as a single, it's not bad, I try to cook a couple of days worth of food at a time. Also good for making soup.

  • 3L also on offer at 126AUD. Not the historical low($99) but decent enough price.

    • Yeah I'm tossing up on the 3L. I already have a 6L slow cooker and it's enormous, but 3L doesn't seem like quite enough either. Hmm.

Anyone got the 9 in 1 version? Worth the premium?

  • How does it compare to this crockpot? Similar size and price.

  • we use the big pot so we can cook in 1 batch and store or freeze food. electricity costs and labour are fixed for us cooking large or small batch. time saved is worth something.

  • Thanks OP, bought one!
