That's a Deep question…
How deep?
Review seems good but overall body build cheap
Deep or fully sick bass?
Bit of a newbie with this, when is the discount applied?
It’s already 40% off. I think you need to add the $50 gift card to your cart as well to get it free.
bought, thanks!
Pretty sure I saw this for $99 on Amazon AU before.
Yup 3x camels confirms it. So you are paying $38 more and getting $50 gift card so more like $12 discount on the headphones.
SBC and AAC only, in case you'd like to know.
Are they good for phone calls?
the physics of it is….if you want something 'good' for phone calls, u need one with a mic boom. If you don't want a boom to stick out…IMO you will never get 'good' mic, but that's the other end's problem. ;)
Yeah get a Jabra headset for calls.
Otherwise worth paying more for Sony xm4, buy right the first time.
+1 on Jabra then Plantronics. Look for one with mic boom. Or take the loss in mic quality (for the person on the other end) if you want something nicer for yourself without the unsightly mic boom. It's hard to say what's 'good' for phone calls as we all have different standards, and the environment at the time of the call too.
@hippo2s: If it's mainly for calls or meetings etc, then these are good and have used them before.
Jabra Evolve 40 UC Stereo Headset – Unified Communications Headphones for VoIP Softphone with Passive Noise Cancellation – 3.5mm Jack only – Black https://amzn.asia/d/fxgkNHR
Be worth getting better ones if for music and gaming though.
@G-rig: I use a Plantronics Voyager 5200 for my calls, it is literally just a mic boom and single earpiece. Absolute shit for music, but excellent for call quality.
I just switch between a non-mic headphone for music, then Voyager for calls. Yes…take off, put back on. etc. I do it deliberately so I can focus… do call, or do music.
To answer the question…the mic performance on BT headphones are generally acceptable when used indoors and quiet place. If you are out and about, commuting etc…it's barely passable for the occasional call.
@hippo2s: Seperate headphones/headsets is the go, good one.
Even the xm4 Sony's aren't always easy to be heard on, I think Bose were better at this.
From the reviews, these have a lot of bass, but can be overbearing, even with the bass boost turned off.
It's as advertised…like they literally call it Deep Bass…? what's the problem?
I intend to EQ it, not a big problem IMO. Yeah yeah loss in quality…blah blah…you all audiophiles. Just get what you want/can afford and enjoy THE MUSIC itself.
Did you buy it?
Let us know how they sound.
Yes I bought one and love it for the price. It is no more bass (with bass off) than other V shaped headphones. Very standard sounding enclosed headphones - it has that muffled stage, not a bad thing for the price tho.
I did use it with cable tho, didn't bother with BT, but I am no audiophile. It sounds about what I expect.
@hippo2s: Guess it would be alright for $80. Is it muddy with the bass boost on?
@congo: it's great considering it's a name brand.
With bass boost on it did get muddy across the board, which is why i would use EQ instead of the Bass Boost anyway. The Bass boost is like a preset EQ….not sure why anyone would use it. Tweak the EQ so you like the sound, be it bass, treble…mids… don't bother turning/relying on the bass boost. And please don't bother comparing one headphone to another once you get into EQ…just set it to how you like it..and enjoy the music.
I wonder if these headphones have good bass…
