Right on cue, the day after I make a purchase at Aliexpress.

    • Yeah same here. I spent about US$40 last week and could have saved :/

      • I just spent a few hundred… Always another deal.

  • +3

I bought these recently on sale, and cashback now will bring it down to roughly the same price - https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005003751972407.html

Seems to have pretty good reviews, good alternate joy cons to the Hori's with rumble, gyro, and wireless. Also looks to be a re-branded binbok which used to be pretty popular here.

Mine haven't arrived yet so can't give a verdict but a heads up for those in the market for switch controllers.

    • why wouldn't you just buy an 8bitdo adapter?

      • +1

Different use cases of course, I play handheld mode and wanted something with gyro with similar form factor to the hori so an 8bitdo adapter would be useless for me.

      • Why 8bitdo adapter? Do you mean 8bitdo gamepad? Mine connects to switch without any adapter dongle

    • Bruh im getting the DBZ controller just as a collectors items

  • legit just bought something will cancel

  • That's a nice incentive, however I've only ever bought 1 item from aliexpress and got scammed.

Rant:, received a non original plugin item set. The plug is defective and doesn't fit anything including the item i bought so i literally can't even use it. Waste of $60. The aliexpress dispute team sided with the seller despite countless photos, screenshots and seller admitting I was correct

    • +2

There is a few scam sellers on there - 'genuine leather' that is vinyl, used phone parts, faulty electronic parts, sale priced items that tell you to be patient for shipment and never send, false tracking numbers when things haven't shipped yet. Dispute team is hit and miss - for non sent items it's usually ok, but for faulty or fake things it can go either way.
Seems to be more and more of the above the last two years and the good stuff is not as cheap any more. Also seems to be less sellers overall with pages and pages of the same thing.
      Still shop on there though..

      • I bought a battery charger and seller replaced the original plug (even admitted it) which didn't work. I hate when the cs tells you not to worry but then you lose your dispute. The seller had a 97% rating too, i think I'll stick to amazon

    • +1

Every time I've had an issue they've sided with the seller, or at best offered like 2% refund. I've had carbon mtb handle bars that weren't round and are unsafe to ride with and the response was "use it until it breaks, then open a dispute". Screw that. I've since deleted my aliexpress account, wasted too much time and money on defective crap, the savings just aren't there.

      • Did you get your money back from the bank.?

It's so unfair and the seller can even mock you, it's ridiculous. Good idea, i should delete my account as well.

      • When I dispute, I always win. But I have lots of order history.

  • +4

So $75 ex GST and shipping… Hmm

  • +1

    what to buy? :/

    • +3

      Maybe get a watch.

      • Steeldive ;)

      • Steeldive not on the all time low yet :'( even with cashback

        • +1

Better when there's a sale on too, if you can wait till 11.11.

Still much better than anything at Wallace bishop for $500, and most Seikos that are $400 on special (for example).

          • @G-rig: Yeah will check it out again during 11.11. Thanks for the suggestion!

            • @Truck-kun: Hopefully there's a cashback as well though.. but nice when you get the Shop Coupons, a sale price and cashback. Only paid $105 for the steeldive.

              • @G-rig: Yeah 105 is a steal! Especially if you managed to stack cashback on top of it

                • +1

@Truck-kun: Nah was ~$100 including cashback.
Still worth it if paying more anyway, great watch.

                  • +2

@G-rig: Just posted it, price is approx AU$97.20 delivered @Truck-kun

                    • +1

@WatchNerd: wow, you delivered! now i m heavily considering if I shud get it

                      • @Truck-kun: Yes you should

                        • @G-rig: considering if i shud getting a pagani chronograph instead..

                          • +1

@Truck-kun: I got both, the steeldive is better but depends what style you want. The Pagani looks a lot more expensive than it is, not as easy to read the time (I got the white one), and lume is very ordinary. Good movement and time stays set though, pretty accurate:).

  • +1

Can I Still get the cashback if i use code?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/723098

    • As long as the item is affiliated and you mark the order as delivered once received you'll be fine.

    • Ive never got any codes to work, accept my first.purchase.

BTW the opp suggests they will stack.

    • In my experience (of one attempt a few months ago with similar codes), no. Maybe it depends on the particular code.

  • Affiliate? What's does that mean here in this context ? Examples ?

    • +1

First line of the special terms in the deal.

  • Last month I had $450 of orders backed up in my cart waiting for something like this. Glad I didn't bother holding on

  • Is anyone else having problems with Aliexpress suddenly showing in Russian? Along the top I tried changing back to Australia for site and currency, but it still shows cart in Russian. Along the top I tried changing Language but I can't see English in there… I've deleted the Aliexpress related cookies from the browser as suggested on a Reddit thread, but when I log in I get this again. Any ideas?

    • +1

I have a few times. Change the url from .ru to .com

    • +1

B-mans fix or the reddit fix didn't work for me.

      This did on mobile

Change page to desktop view > click the flag icon > Доставка в > change to Australia press the button at the bottom.

      • I haven't got the app, I guess it might be stuffing up in there too, if I install that and have the issue I'll try your suggestion there.

For others benefit, on the desktop how I got most of the site not to be in Russian, I tried deleting the Aliexpress cookies using some suggestion from Google (On your computer, open Chrome; At the top right, click More Settings; Click Privacy and security. Cookies and other site data; Click See all site data and permissions.; At the top right, search for the website's name; To the right of the site, click Remove; To confirm, click Clear.). But my cart icon on the home page and any item pages still goes to the Russian site. I can get a proper cart link from the top of some pages, eg My Orders page, Buyer Protection page.

I tried B-Man02's method on desktop for if I click on the Russian cart link, to change it to English, it works, but I have to do that every time.

  • How can you get product id or product url? I cannot open mobile page of the website as it takes to App every time.

    • +1

Open in cognito tab or use computer

    • There's no desktop mode on your mobile browser app?

    • This is really annoying hey.. Open in a new tab or just uninstall the app

    • In Android phones, you can change how URLs are handled,
ie. you tell Android not to open aliexpress.com links in the app
or to give you an option EVERYTIME you click on an aliexpress.com link

  • Nice!!

Glad I held off on ordering a bunch of watch bands for the Apple Watch Ultra….tonight it is.

  • I’ve never bought anything from ali-express, is it safe (e.g., do products arrive, etc?)

    • +4

You’ll get mixed feedback but I’ve never had an issue and I’ve been ordering from there for years.

As mentioned, use sellers/stores that have good ratings and plenty of orders placed.

    • best if you can chose a recommended seller (by word of mouth, ratings etc), but should be alright.
The items themselves can vary wildy in quality but is usually reflected in the price. Best to go with a good store (and not buy the absolute cheapest which would obviously be rubbish).

    • Yep. Sometimes faster to ship from china than locally with auspost. Definitely only buy from the big stores with very high ratings (won't be the cheapest store). There are some official brand stores for Chinese companies.

  • I've ordered a bit of stuff from AliExpress. The quality varies as does shipping time. Reviews on the site don't mean much, I think sellers do their best to ensure people leave favourable feedback.

Just do your research and try not to overpay..

  • +1

Ridiculous when sorting by price the result broke

    • +1

      AliEx sorting does not work.
      It's like Amazon sorting,
      ie. rely on 'best match'.

      • Yep. You can't even sort by orders now too.

But ascending price does work for me at least.

  • +1

Affiliate products usually or mostly are more expensive than non aff.
Now I feel this is just another marketing trick, you spent more time thinking get bigger saving but actually not. Just an illusion.
They should just create 2 website one for affiliate and non, or put big word red highlighted on each page

  • Thanks OP!
Have been looking at a few things on Ali over the past couple of days and have them in my shopping cart.
This deal means I will pull the trigger!

    • beware most cashback provider will say you cant have the items ready/pre populated on your shopping card
maybe @clear can explain why ?

    • Empty your cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards. Add items to your cart after clicking from Cashrewards.

My trick is to add everything to the cart a minute before I go through CR. Obviously goes against the terms above so each to their own.

      • but why? sorry honest curiosity here (maybe because the affil status can change from the time we put and today?)

how about if we bookmark them (and obviously check the afil again before checkout) at least we dont have to search the items again

        • Idk. If it's easier the URL has the item number and you can search for those. E.g. 32914771887 will give you a product.

        • Add to wish list

        • +1

Double checked. They want to know that the sale was driven via the cashback site and not organically.

  • Can someone let me know what the highest purchase price is to get the full $15 cashback?

Also can I make multiple transactions and get $15 off each time?
Or can I only do it once?

    Thank you.

    • Someone did math above but you will need to read the comments to find out.

    • +1

The least you'd need to spend to get the full $15 is $75. Any spend over that wouldn't attract any additional cashback.

Unsure if it can be used multiple times, but it says "$15 cap per member", which leads me to assume no.

      • Unsure if it can be used multiple times, but it says "$15 cap per member", which leads me to assume no.

Correct. $15 cap total no matter how many transactions.

      • Thank you Shane, you are a true gentleman 😊

  • damn my cctv stuff not affiliated

  • Literally just placed an order last night sigh

  • If they take 20% off delivery times too, I'm in!!

    • -1

      Ha…

20% cashback is 'realistically' 10% cashback,
because the other 10% is going to GST :-\

      • +1

        Not if you deliver overseas.

  • Any recommendations for Bluetooth earphones , with good microphone pick-up ?

Priced between AU$ 15 - 30 , and I would prefer it with wires (so, they don't get 'lost')
but open to suggestions of non-wired ones
(if wireless/Bluetooth, I would like ability to be use 1 earphone at a time , while other earphone charges up).

They will be used by elderly person, to talk on a mobile phone,

  • So what crap are you guys planning to buy?

  • ORICO USB4 NVMe SSD Enclosure 40Gbps PCIe3.0x4 Aluminum M.2 SSD Case Compatible with Thunderbolt 3 4 USB3.2 USB 3.1 3.0 Type-C

Is this any good? or anyone has any recommendations? I got a 970 Eve Plus 2TB and want to get the 40Gbps enclosure to maximise the performance.

    • You can stack with coupon 9SEPT9 and D929YL5NVKCM to bring it down to around $108 USD. Assuming you have a USB-C port on your PC/laptop that supports 40GB/s it'll be fine.

  • Looking for a dashcam, one that doesn't exceed $50 AUD.

    • I don't really think you can get anything good under $50 AUD. 70mai are good for the price and ddpai seem good as well.

      • Yeah I might be wishing for a unicorn deal to happen. The 70Mai M300 is pretty expensive nowadays.

I did come across the Dahua Imou T200 (which has absolutely no reviews and no spec sheet) and the AZDome M01 Pro (which is much cheaper to purchase on eBay than Aliexpress. I may go the Azdome route if nothing else pops up. Image quality might have to take a back seat here as it's a gift for someone else.

        • You'll probably have to settle for the AZDome M01 Pro if it's cheaper on eBay. Too bad none of the eBay Plus codes apply.

  • Could someone confirm that I can only use coupons that are listed on the cashrewards website for aliexpress? Thank you.

  • is shipping included in the 20% cashback?

  • Ended up buying this Rapoo 8000T Multi-mode Bluetooth Keyboard with Korean layout, for US$8.79 with free shipping.

Now to look for one of those LED light bar things for my curved 35" LCD monitor.

    • +1

I have this in my wishlist. US$1 off with D151948V3AP7

The brand Lymax on AliExpress have curved monitor lights but you're looking at US$50+

      • Does the use of a store coupon invalidate the cashback?

        • Nope they're fine. Pretty much all codes are fine.

      • Just got the light bar now, Markings indicate it is a CANMEIJIA CMJ-XDD-001. It shares the same model number as a Ceilling light?. The box says it is a CYTT-150 but there's no brand name.

Attaches to the top of the monitor by way of a steel plate that you glue on the monitor's top bezel, then slapping the light bar on top which has magnets on it's feet. They give you a black sticker which you then use to duct-tape the light bar to the back of your monitor as a fail-safe since the magnet isn't particularly strong.

        • I have the same Light bar, it's called the Blitzwolf CML2 but looks like an exact clone of the light bar you got.

I would call the magnet OK in strength, definitely could be a lot stronger but has no problem holding the light bar on top. It does shuffle across a bit on the metal plate though because of the touch control being on the ends it moves maybe 3mm every 2 to 3 weeks and I notice myself pushing it back so it's more centered on the plate.

Mine did not come with the duct-tape so I guess they added/included that in the packaging more recently. But wanted to thank you for that information because now I can use some tape I have to achieve the same thing so hopefully I don't have to micro adjust it every 2 weeks.

  • Any idea how long aliexpress purchases take to track.

    • It’s normally quite quick about 10-15mins, but mine hasn’t shown up and also my last order last week also didn’t track. Might try to cancel my order before they send it out if no cashback.

  • tracked but only for a dollar my order was around 50

  • Anyone know if instore coupon would void this cashback?

    • Ignore, just read top comment from OP that it allows

  • Bought Nitecore UMS4 $42.92(include tax & delivery). Product $38.34 / Delivery $0.68 / Tax $3.9
Tracked $7.21 in 14mins. Very fast!

    However, 7.21 x 5 = 36.05 it is 94% of product price.
Why is it tracked 6% lower than product price?
    6% is another tax?
Sorry, it's first time I ordered from Aliexpress with Cashrewards.
