  Don't drop the mouse on the floor. After I did this, the mouse wouldn't connect via the dongle anymore. It still worked via bluetooth, but the keyboard and mouse would go to sleep after short periods of non use (really short) and would often take an annoying amount of time to wake up/re-sync with the computer.
