Thanks op been looking for one of these vertical mouses. Hoping it alleviates some of my wrist issues from heavy pc use 40 hours a week.

    • Been using a vertical mouse for years now. Can recommend. I had started getting numbness and tingling in my arm and a constant pain in the neck (literal). A vertical mouse helped. I also changed my stance of how I use the mouse. I no longer extend my arm towards the mouse. Its hard to explain, but works very well for me. Takes off any pressure on the neck muscles from extending the arm.

I got this one recently at work. Seems to be nice.

      • I used a vertical mouse for a few years when I had wrist pain. It alleviated the pain, but I no longer need it. The only problem was that it wasn't as good as a normal mouse for fine, detailed work requiring tiny movements of the cursor.

          Agree.

I had an Evoluent mouse, more than 15 years ago.
It was "ok" to use, but I went back to a normal mouse
and tried to change the way, my arms sit on the desk.

I also looked at using tablet + pen, and that was "ok" too…but I didn't explore that too much either, before going back to the normal mouse.

        • It's good for fine detail, use it daily for cad and modelling, maybe not gaming.
Just get the sensitivity right. still got a G502 as well.

I'm lucky, my computer chair has arms and I rest my arm on that and it makes using a mouse much easier on my wrist

Cheers OP, have been waiting for a deal on this to come around again.

  • +3

Thanks. What a difference a few hours make. It was around $160 last night. Glad i waited.

  • +2

Cheers. Had some credit and was eyeing the mx keys for 160-161 that it's been for a bit. Saving the extra 10 odd sold it for me. Free same day delivery doesn't hurt either.

    • +1

It was showing same day delivery for me, but after I checked out, it said delivery next day.

      • +1

If you did a quick buy via the app or something it'd be next day. Via Checkout you had to manually select Same Day for some reason (wasn't default).

        • Ooo good pick up. I cancelled and ordered again.

Missed this deal, got it for $160 last week.

Awesome keyboard. I never really understood why people spend money on peripherals like keyboard and mouse, but after having both MX products for over a week now, I wish I invested sooner.

    • +2

Yes, they are great, and the mx vertical mouse.
Tempted to get another MX Keys for work ..

    • how often do you have to charge the keyboard for avg 40hrs work week?

      • I reckon you'd get around 6-7 days out of it, can turn the backlighting down or off too.

MX Keys stays powered up to 10 days on a full charge – or up to 5 months with backlighting turned off. Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions Use the USB-C charging cable to top up the power.

      • +1

I use this for full-time work and normally keep the backlight off. I rarely have to charge it - maybe once every ~2 months? Very infrequent compared to everything else I have with a rechargeable battery.

        • +1

agreed not that often I think i underestimated it but not my primary device

Any love for MX Master 3S or 2s? Been waiting a deal for Logitech K780 keyboard, grabbed 2 for $39 each at OfficeWorks last year ;)

    • +1

Using the 3s alongside the keyboard and love it. Definitely agree with other comments stating it increases your productivity if you remeber to use all it's features.

  • +2

Thanks, needed a new keyboard for a while, just need the MX Master 3S at a good price now.

    • +5

Hopefully you're aware - but the Logitech MX Keys keyboard listed here uses Unifying USB dongle, and the MX Master 3S uses the Bolt USB dongle. They're not cross-compatible, which means either using an additional USB-A port on your computer to handle the extra receiver, or using Bluetooth.

Not the biggest fan of the way Logitech are handling this apparent transition from Unifying to Bolt, but for those who are less picky about the receiver technology, good way to pick up some specials if they come up for the MX Keys & MX Master 3 which both use the old Unifying.

      • I wasnt aware, thanks for the info.

I had to return the Logitech MX because it was useless as I could not use bluetooth to get to the BIOS while messing with OS installation. Got myself a $5 keyboard from Officeworks yesterday. It is surprisingly good. I also did not like the Logitech software asking clipboard permissions, too intrusive.

    • +4

Of course it wouldn't work, that's what the USB receiver is for

      • It did not work even with the usb receiver as well.

    • Haha, someone negged you for sharing your experience.

I just re-read it. Bluetooth connection won't work on the BIOS screen because it requires the bluetooth drivers to be loaded (which only happens after the OS has started).

      • That is correct. Keyboard is good otherwise.

    • it's not the keyboards fault, you'd have to plug one in to access bios before windows loads the OS and drivers (like bluetooth).
Sometimes pays to have a cheap cabled keyboard lying around as well and/or just plug in with the usb c cable ;).

      • I'm not sure the USB C cable actually transmits data, I think it just charges. The included Unified Receiver will work though.

        • oh right, the usb c cable did for my other mech kb but perhaps that's different.

      • Yes I know it is not the keyboards fault. Keyboard is very good quality and sturdy and heavy metal build.

I am a noob so was just letting people know that it won't work if they are doing stuff with the BIOS so they avoid the trouble I went through.

        • Completely valid criticism imo. Should be built in a way that it can be used wired for something like a bios.

          • +1

@noobshoes: Yeah I thought it would if wired, guess need to keep another spare cheap keyboard

          • @noobshoes: Or……. you know…… the Unified Receiver that comes with the device

            • @dav3: So bios recognises the unifying USB receiver without any drivers?

              • @G-rig: I haven't tried with the MX Keys specifically (that I recall), but I've never had an issue with any other wireless keyboard or mouse with a physical receiver (Logitech or otherwise) over the last 20 or so years. The receiver does all the hard work and as far as the device can tell it's just a wired USB device.

  • Is there an option to buy this kb with matching mouse? A combo for 1 rf receiver.

    • +1

You can use the Logitech tool to map them both to the same Universal dongle

  • Thanks bought another MX key KB its the best there is

    • buggar it, got another one as well :P

  • These seem popular, Do people rate these keyboards for day to day long periods over mechanical keyboards? My Corsair K70 RGB just died (liquid damage) and tossing up whether to get the same again or go with one of these. I don't game really anymore and don't need the RGB lighting, though I do like the volume roller on my corsair, I'm willing to give that up if these are better for day to day.

I am currently using the MX Keys for work and another for home. I've previously had a Logitech G710+, Logitech G910, Ducky Shine 7 and a Keychron K10. This keyboard had been really pleasant to use with both normal office use plus in games.

    • +1

I've got the MX Keys at work and a Mechanical at home. The MX is great when I'm in the office, my job doesn't involve a lot of constant typing but it's nice and quiet to use.

  • +1

Came up on my Camelx3 price alert so I bought at JB. Good to have a quieter option than my clicky blues.

  • The Logitech Lift also seems to come in left handed… but doesn't seem to be sold in Australia at the moment :(
