As a general rule, if Bunnings has "1" in stock chances are it is not there. Stock levels even of larger items are very inconsistent. Best to call and ask someone to visually confirm

I think because when Bunnings reduce price form previously discounted price it shows previous price not original price. May be original price was $55 then reduced to $29 and now $10…

What is the fuel source? Do we just use charcoal heat beads or like lump wood? Never used one of these

Either or. I prefer charcoal because it gives off less smoke but wood gives off more flames.
Anything you can set fire to. Wood if you want flames, heat beads or charcoal if you just want warmth, clothes if you are kicking out your partner and want to send a message.
What sort of mat or protection could I use under this as I have fake turf and assume it would melt without anything !

My local bunnings scanned at $24
Carrum Downs had 33 in stock but scanned up as $29 in store. Weren’t willing to match price. :(
The last 2 to 3 weeks the Bunnings stores I go to have all been flogging off their firepit, fireplace, log holders, etc. for $10-$20.

I always thought these yellow clearance tags meant they were that price at all stores, but it turns out that's not true :(
Whenever I see something with a tag like that on it, I scan it with the PowerPass app, and check all the stores that have stock of the item… and the prices can fluctuate between full price and even cheaper than the tag depending on the store / stock.
e.g. SA stores - Woodville = $20, Mile End = $29, Noarlunga = $29, Parafield = $15, Victor Harbor = $15, Port Lincoln = $29
Of course, the PowerPass app doesn't reflect items that have been manually marked down with the wonderful little handwritten Clearance stickers.
Can confirm this is store specific clearance, just in Castle Hills and they are $29 each. Stock level is correct as shown in earlier replies.

I went to my local Bunnings and they said that they don't normally price match with other Bunnings stores. But they still honoured the price, because it came up as a 'deleted item' when they scanned it (whatever that means). Thanks OP - great deal.
55cm is a pretty small fire pit, and it doesn't look very deep. Anyone got one that can shed some light on size?
Is it appropriately sized for a small fire, or will a tiny gust of wind blow the fire out and twigs around my small apartment outside area?
i thought it looked decent for a small firepit but when you mentioned wind and apartment… I don't think this is very good after all. Pretty shallow, nothing to cover and hold wood and ember.
It's definitely more on the shallow side. Would smoke up an apartment even on a slightly windy day.
But for $10, even if you buy it you can probably profit by selling it on marketplace
