I have the 11 Pro Max and recently upgraded my wife to a 13 Pro Max. Gotta say I’m with you on this one. The new phone just looks much bigger, to my eye, and isn’t easy to use with one hand. My current phone is already at the limit of how big I would go. Gutted really as the newer devices, especially the new 14 Pro models, look awesome.

I'm 5'2" (male) and it's fine. As long as it's pocketable, the more screen real estate, the better imo. I actually wish it was larger like the ASUS ROG Pro 6. Could be a generational thing since I've never seen Gen Z complain about the size of the Pro Max's outside of enthusiast forums, we just get used to it.
Curious if you actually used/tried the ROG phone? I am on the fence about iphone pro max or rog right now, but heavily into apple ecosystem so will take alot to switch
I have the pro max 13. I love it. I’m not a huge fan of apple, but this is by far the best phone I have ever owned by a long, long shot. Pool is battery life is fkn brilliant.

Imo biggest upgrade would be the camera, if it actually is significantly better. AOD, useful but not game changing, island is just software.
A bit too late for that price for this phone.
How so? The performance is considerably better than the top androids of any kind, screen great, camera's great, video's the best, battery life is the best. What are we missing?
camera is great except in low light in your house with a human subject, its absolutely awful, worse than my old xiaomi mi9t. Has horrible post processing you can't turn off. Macro mode auto engages, you have to switch it off and then wait for it to focus which can take 20 seconds. There's hundreds of complaints about it online. Everything else is great but that is absolutely horrible
What are you on about dude. Macro mode auto engage can be turned off and there is absolutely no issues with human subjects inside or out. You dont say much apart from "horrible processing that you cant turn off"? Like what exactly is your issue?

etc etc, there's hundreds of articles and hundreds of complaints. You can turn macro off yes, but then without macro the autofocus is screwed up and you have to tap the screen to focus and then wait - which can take up to 20 seconds. It is not good. I have 2 doing the same thing and a friend's, so I dont think its just a me/my device issue. Plenty of people online complaining about it. You shouldnt have to deactivate macro mode all the time just to get it to work and by the time you mess around with it you miss the shot.
I will buy it if this has the "Dynamic Peninsula!!!!
