Actually perfect for cooking hashbrowns, though goodluck finding hashbrowns these days….
Thanks Op, will it burn my house down? π
Maybe, havent tried it myself though
Sorry Op, just joking. Welcome to Oz-BarShenanigans. π
Of course, how else will it toast your bread?
Air fryer. Been using it for pizza, toast, muffins, pop tarts. You just need to know how long you want it for. 2 min light toast. 5 min medium toast.
get Woolworths home insurance
bought one almost 6 years ago, still using it today.
Less than a loaf of bread.
Might as well invest in toasters than bread.
Probably more nutritious than bread these days.
These are the type of toasters with slots that don't fit a full slice of bread so you have to flip it halfway through cooking
Thanks OP & Welcome.
I think Kmart's are 7.50 so good deal
Yeah. Who said the cost of living is going up? $5 for a toaster, even some loaves of bread are more expensive than that.
We have a costume party coming up, bought a t-shirt from Kmart for $4 to decorate. $4.

Isn't the fact some loaves of bread are more than $5 enough evidence lol
I think it would take for a mile long bread line before they start to get a sneaking suspicion π
Watch the Mr Bean new year's party for some inspiration
This is cheaper than the cheapest toy Kmart toaster which is $6. Link
I'm so confused why the toy toaster is called a "working toaster" when it doesn't actually work :/
Good first post. Welcome, well done and thanks.
Thank you!
Same packaging as 500g butter, fooled me good.
Same!
Bought one similar. Bread didn't fit.
Havent opened mine yet, hopefully thats not the case
A bit strange when the bread costs more than the toaster.
Well I suppose this incentivises people to buy more bread, thus increasing revenue in bread sales and more profits since they cost more
Did woolies recently buy bread stock?
I duno, steak costs more than a steak knife..
Perfect addition for the bath in my ever-increasing expensive rental
Jokes aside mate, talk to friends or family, or better yet a professional if you're in trouble. Toasters and baths don't go together!
The plastic kettle was also ~$4 when I walked past yesterday.
These toasters aren't the best. Same with the Kmart $7 one. Small thin slots, only fits thin bread.
Other thing is that they aren't even, so have to turn bread half-way to finish cooking so one side isn't burnt and other side barely brown.
Just hammerfist it down and enjoy your toasty clump
Itβs made for that cheap $1 loaf of paper-thin sliced bread.
That's not what this review says

That's my experience with better toasters than this, flip for consistent brown
Good spotting, OP
Bought a house this year and splurged on a good toaster for it, can't say I regret it.
Like printers, the consumables are what makes this toaster feasible…
$100k kitchen and $5.60 toaster.
Don't forget $500 Rm Williams boots and driving miles for 2 cent cheaper petrol
Not hating the poster but this is buy and discard personified. We need a right to repair legislated so products are not just discarded because it is so cheap to buy a new one. Even at $14 how can this product be manufactured, shipped, warehoused, shipped again, stocked and sold for a profit? This is frightening. Please people don't buy into this!
Go cry in the comment section of a Louis Rossman video, not here.
A bargain is a bargain.
CCP slave labor.
Bought this one for $7 last week as I'm accommodating a house guest who likes toast. His Abbots Rustic White fit nicely and was toasted very evenly, particularly compared to the expensive Smeg toaster I sold a few weeks ago (hence being toasterless).
Edit: Idk how long it will last given it looks and feels a bit like a toy, but I eat toast twice a month at most so I'm hoping it will have a decent run.
It can last a long time. The main problem that kills cheap toasters for me is when the bread sticks to the filaments and I don't dislodge it properly.
Good for heating Pizza.
