thank you OP, bought one for mom

  • Weren’t a fan of the old profile picture?

Would we get cashback if ported out after 28days validity?

  • +3

If I bought this through their previous 100% cashbacks through CR, am I eligible for this?

    • CR doesn't care. If Boost considers that you are a new customer, its alllll good.

Let's say you ported out of Boost last month to Amaysim and you are porting back to Boost mobile today, you are considered a new customer.

      • Where does it say that you have to be a new customer? I did not find that in the terms and conditions anywhere?

        • If you go into the $40 SIM page and check the "what's included" drop-down, you will see the terms and conditions.
You can also see it at the very end of every page on the website under the "Fine print" drop-down.

is a new number considered as new customer?

because i was having trouble activating a second sim, and support insisted to use the same Boost ID (email) so i had no choice.

        • same. couldn't activate and had to go through chat who said it'd be added to my existing boost id.

I bought kogan 28days 30gb for $1 through uniday every24 hours. The code cooling period is 24hours.

      [in borat voice]: Very Nice!

Does anyone know the 'SIM must be activated within 30 days' - how strict this is?

    • If you want the cashback it is normally strict.

    • Seen under other posts saying that he doesn't activate within 30 days without problem.. Really confused.

Will it be ok if I'm an existing customer but getting a second (new) phone number?

    • +1

Yes, I bought the 40gb deal from 1 month ago. My main sim is Boost 365-day plan. Activated the new sim on different email address, and put in spare phone for extra data. New sim expires tonight, and had no problems during the month. Just remember, don't activate auto recharge.

      • Thanks

Actually the deal mentions to use multiple purchases for multiple sims so I gave it a whack anyway

  • +1

Dam, just remember I still haven't received the sum from previous deal

    • That's my main worry too. The previous deal's cashback is still pending, even though I have activated the SIM almost a month ago. If for some reason the cashback doesn't come through, it makes this potentially excellent deal a very poor deal.

    • We've experienced some delays due to an increase in demand, rest assured you'll receive your SIM as soon as possible.

  • What happen if you don't activate within 30days__u don't get cashback?

    • Correct.

  • can you switch to a different plan after activating and at end of 1st month?

    • Yes, you certainly can!

  • Why one needs so many SIMs especially they only last one month? Can someone tell me?

    • +7

      It's pretty much free data.

      • I see… I only use 30Gb Data a year. Wifi everywhere…

    • +2

Sim slutting or as Clear said - data. Also I've never had VoLTE before so wanted to see if it worked on my Mi9T.

    • New customer offers. They usually verify by mobile number

  • Still havnt receive my sim from the previous deal = (

  • Last time my sim has very low internet speed, it’s only about 4-8Mbps/s, while my amaysim sim can reach 100Mbps/s easily! (Based at Melbourne) Also cannot make any international call!

    • That's odd, Boost is on the Full Telstra network so you shouldn't be experiencing low internet speeds.

I've just run a speed test on my phone and the results are as follows: 157.8 Mbps download and 21.9 Mbps upload speed.

It’s wired right? But that’s the truth, I reported these issues to Boost and they forward my case to Telstra. However until My plan expired they still not solve the issue. Really bad experience I won’t try this deal again.

  • Do I need to register these SIMs in order to use them ? Family visiting us for a week from overseas, so these can be put to good use.

    • Yes, you'll need to activate the SIMs via https://activate.boost.com.au/ before your family can use them.

      • Hi Iananda. I'm currently a Boost customer. I have been for 2 years. I would like to purchase two of these for my Husband and Son who are not Boost customers using my Cashback account. Can I do this in 2 seperate transactions and recieve the $15.00 cash back making this 2 x 50g sim cards for free? :-)

Does any one have this problem, I tried to activate as a new number, got this message.

    Something went wrong

We’re unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later.

I have ported the existing number few days back, now try to activate this new sim card as new number.

    • +1

i ended up just doing it again and it went through/using another card.

    • +1

Last time when I transferred my number from amaysim to boost I got the same thing. And Telstra technician cannot fix the issue they told me they don’t know what’s wrong. I think maybe you can try online chat, let the staff to activate the sim for you.

      • I went to online chat, it seems if you have used Boost before, it created a Telstra ID, it prevents you to set a new account again. Online operator would update your old Telstra ID, and activate for you.

Probably if you log in to your Telstra ID, you may be able to activate it without problem.

I had this problem every time for the last few offers and today. My suburb has the apostrophe eg O’Ha…. Put address in with no apostrophe and worked fine.

  • 5G yes or no?

  • Very handy, going rural soon so the timing is spot on.

  • +2

How long has it taken people to get their SIM? Need to transfer over before my next month rolls around soon.

    • 7 days to Perth

      • Cheers for the reply :) bought one

  • Any idea how long the ph number lasts after the 28 day expiry? Or is it wiped immediately?

    • +1

From memory, a good 3 months before it clears. One would have to call them to have it manually deleted should you prefer.

  • We can sign up for this SIM, refer ourselves a new Cashback account with the new number and claim referral bonuses. Rinse and repeat for a month, unlimited money

    • +2

Hope you have plenty of bank accounts to withdraw your CR funds otherwise it would be obvious you are the same person.

    Thanks OP!

Can you receive calls and SMS after your plan expires?

  • +1

can one use chat to keep existing boost number by activating new sim pack then transferring that credit over to existing boost number and still qualify for the cash rewards cash back?

  • I'm currently a Boost customer. I have been for 2 years. I would like to purchase two of these for my Husband and Son who are not Boost customers using my Cashback account. Can I do this in 2 seperate transactions and recieve the $15.00 cash back making this 2 x 50g sim cards for free? :-)

    • +1

yes ref "Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase." but not sure if transferring that credit over to existing boost number and you will still qualify for the cash rewards cash back? if someone with previous experience could answer that would be great?

  • The terms above say to activate within 30 days, however, on the Boost website it says to activate by the 26th September for bonus data. So, how much data do you get if you activate after the 26th?

  • Any chance of getting the sim card before 30 days is up?

  • +1

Activated this morning and received 55GB of data.
