      The D-Link website is downright crap! Whoever designed it needs another profession. 2/3 of the screen is empty an im forced to use the scroll bar to find the description in a tiny scroll window.

      Nope. Also note it only supports MJPEG. The crappiest codec. If you like 1 FPS then it will be fine. h264 is definitely the way to go!

    All the DCS range support H.264, MPEG4, MJPEG… If you want night vision then you need to look at the 932L or the 942L.

    Also you can easily hook these up to the MyDlink cloud which you can get the smartphone apps free but there are a plethora of free third-party apps, personally I use Tinycam with my 942L and love it.

    bought some foscams recently ..for almost the same price! but these pan up and down and also has night vision. app on my iPad and iPhone allows me to view these wirelessly and move it pan accordingly.

      At what price and from where? Admittedly, as you said, Foscam's have pan/tilt etc, but even with their 'specials', Foscam's website is still about the same price for a single unit.
