Got mine from Amazon for 484 and it's amazing! Highly recommended.

  • This or 100 pizzas from Domino's/pizza hut?

    • +16

I'd still go the Ooni even if Domino's/Pizza Hut were free

      • -1

        Couldn't of said it better

      • I'd go one step further, I wouldn't eat 100 Domino's/Pizza Hut pizzas if you gave me $477

    • You must think like an OzBargainer. You wait for the $1 deal, buy 500 of them and put them in your chest freezer……and then come on here and complain how you had to wait an hour for your 500 "pizza's" <= quotations because imo, Dominos don't make pizza.

    • With the price increase thats not even 60 of the cheapest dominos ones.

I’ve been sitting on the thought of getting one for ages.. finally just pulled the trigger.

    Thanks OP!

Good luck with not getting your order canceled! They sell you this and there is a high chance you will get a cancelation email after! This happened to many during the previous deal.

    Wish they had the 16

Just a PSA that since this is out of stock, an alternative is the Arrosto from Barbeques Galore:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/718993

I fired mine up for the first time last night and it's magic!

    Another thread here:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/702147

    • Second that! I have been looking at the Ooni for ages and finally pulled the trigger on the Arrosta last week.
I thought the regret wouldn't be aaaaas big if it turns out that I didn't like after all or if it turned out to be much harder to make a decent Pizza in it than I hoped.

      Best decision ever.
Works a treat and the entire family is looking forward to next Pizza night on Friday.
Not sure what a more expensive model could do even better. I think much comes down to operator/technique and dough.
If you are getting a bigger one maybe, but for the 12" the Arrosta is great.

      • I third that, I reckon it probably better than Koda 12, at least where they placed the control knob on the side rather at rear for easy access.

    • There was even less stock of the Arrosto than this , has it changed?

    • +1

$333 (+$10 postage) on BBQG's eBay store. Just pulled the trigger after looking at them for months.

  • Bought the KODA 12 for $485 off Amazon last week. Great oven!

You will also need to purchase a pizza peel to launch the pizzas, and make sure you have the new LC27 gas bottle (Swap n Go). They have recently changed the safety standards/valves.

    • Lucky. I think many people cannot get the Amazon deals as they won't ship to them. That's what I found.

  • why it has only three legs?

Cos the designer looked to me for inspiration.

What is the point of a gas pizza oven? You may as well just cook the pizza in your gas oven in the kitchen.

The best pizzas are cooked in wood-fire ovens.

    • Maybe….if you gas oven heats up to 500 degrees celsius…..

      • and the flame not from the bottom for leopard crust..

  • out of stock so quickly..

  • +1

Back in stock, just bought one

  • Back in stock !

  • Can someone that owns one tell me how these are better than an oven with a simple pizza tray?

    • +1

the stone temp hits >500 degrees, allowing to cook a fresh pizza in 90 seconds, base is perfect, whilst the toppings don't dry out

    • Depends which style of pizza you cook ( I assume using freshly home made base), some require high heat and others require medium heat. eg Detriot style pan pizza would probably be better in an oven, but say Napolitana style pizza with leopard effect crust won't cook in a kitchen oven.

    OOS

  • Why is so expensive?

    • Cause it gets very hot, necessary for Napoli pizza style

  • Managed to get one. But don't have much confidence. My last Ooni order with these guys was cancelled

  • some good FB groups for the arrosto.

the arrosto is better than the uuni but more accessories with the uuni

    • Which accessories, door?

  • I saw this new 189 pizza oven that goes to 500 degrees at bunnings. Has anyone seen it? Cant remember the name… but it looked really decent.

    • gas, woodfire, electric? Nothing on their website that match this description ..

  • It wasnt on their website i just checked, it was there local in perth. it was gas driven. had pallets of it

    • did it look similar to Koda 12?

  • Looks like it finally shipped this time

  • Back in stock with cheaper price.

    • +1

Yup $10 cheaper if they actually have stock
