    This or Windex

    • yea, I don't get the point of Premium window cleaners,

      • -1

I'm giving these a shot because my windows fog up at the drop off a hat. Windex leaves my windows streaky and hard to see through - streaks aren't obvious above 5 degrees, but on cold mornings it becomes a safety issue.
I've tried other cleaners and most of the 'home remedies'. At least the reviews for this stuff are encouraging.

If your windows fog up, use an anti-fog solution like rainx anti-fog. Reviews seem mixed but honestly it worked amazing for me. Saves me sitting there for 10 minutes in the old crappy car (new car seems to be able to clear fog in under a minute).

Reapply every few months, but I only need it in winter so just do it once a year.

Windex contains ammonia so is likely to damage your window tinting over time.

Also don’t wash your car with dishwashing liquid :)

Yeah don't use windex on your window tint! It strip away your windows tint over time, I learnt that the hard way.

Best product to use is Stoner's Invisible Glass Cleaner. It's tint safe, it removes all the residues on the window, leaving it streak free 👍

      • Plus 1 to stoner's. Tried 5 products along with the usual spirits, and stoner's was a revelation. Insane result. Don't even need rain x, water just glides off now.

I think previous owner had some dodgy product on the glass. Stoner's is the only thing that got it off.

    • I find the aldi "power force pro" glass cleaner works a treat. No ammonia, no streaks, crystal clear windows, cheap price :-)

I was trying to see the moon through the car window and thought this would be the solution…then I realised it was just cloudy.

    • Unlikely.

nope, that stuff is windshield washer fluid you add to your reservoir

      • Are you sure? It says:

Apply sparingly to the surface with a fine spray.

Spread over the surface and buff off with absorbent paper towel.

        • Where does it say that? I can only see this:
For rapid cleaning of automotive windows.
          Features:
          Quickly cleans
          Smear-free formulation
          Long lasting
          Specifications:
          Type: Window Cleaner Liquid
          Volume: 5L

          • @x x: On the label of the bottle :)

    • Looks similar to me.

Try this general purpose cleaner instead.
    https://www.tipsbulletin.com/tea-tree-oil-uses/#make-an-all-…
30 different ways to use tea tree oil listed on the page.
Note that vinegar is acidic and will take the shine off marble and other stone.
It disinfects and deodorises as well.
You can add other essential oil to change the odour.

  • Use warm water plus a dash of dishwashing liquid.

  • Cheers, I used a cheap glass spray that works alright for bathroom cleaning and it hasn't done the best job on my vehicles, cleaning up years of kids hand marks, so hopefully this will do better (and 500ml should last a while)

  • does this stuff have alcohol in it? it's not showing the ingredients.

    • Government grog taxes getting too high?

  • Fast Glass is actually perfect for cleaning matt and satin paint finishes!

  • Does this work well on tinted windows?

    • +1

      Yep!

  • Is this effective as a windscreen anti-fogger?

    • Nope!

  • This is a good product,I'm buying it again…

  • I like AutoGlym fast glass. Rivals or better than bowdens. And at this price, I'd like go for it
