Historically, is 12% (non-MAX) the highest (capped) cashback so far?

    • +1

If one is a max member, do they only get the max rates when using the anz card or can buying with gift cards apply higher rates?

      • +1

only if you use ANZ card

        • Doesn't always work that way. On a recent Amazon Prime day I paid with a non-ANZ card but still got Max cashback on two different orders. I only had an active ANZ card linked to Cashrewards.

          • @beesider: Will found out in few days.. i ordered apple watch. Hope you are right.

I think you only get max cashback when both max and normal cashback rates are same.

            • @BargnHuntr: Did you pay full amount with ANZ card?
I used apple gc and only $10.46 paid on ANZ card. Tracking email received after shipment and it used 8% rate. I don't know whether I'm eligible for 10% for full amount.

              • @RTY: Wow i was thinking to reply here in the morning..so i didnt get 10% max rate only 8% event hough i am cashrewards max member. I paid full amount on gift card though which got me 20x woolies rewards point, higher than that 2% extra using anz card.
                8% +10%= 18% vs 10% anz max member

Btw cashrewards max program is about to end i think end of this month or sept.

Spend $1250 to get $100 back.

Anyway to get AppleCare+ a bit cheaper? I don't think you could pay with gift cards, only credit/debit cards which is full price

    • I spoke to an apple employee about this and they said that because it is warranty that you can't get any discounts whatsoever. So to answer your question, no.

      • +1

Fair enough, thank you for answering my question!

i thought you CAN get AppleCare using giftcards added to your Apple account?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/718881#comment-12546777 (according to this you can)

      • No, if you go to buy the individual AppleCare+ plan on the Apple website, you can only pay with credit/debit cards.
        Let me check.

I see what you mean now, sorry I only checked the 3 year plan option. I can buy gift card and then load into my Apple account, then use the account balance to purchase the yearly AppleCare+ subscription.

      • +1

AppleCare can be bought using gift cards in store

        • Mind blown today, how could I not thought about that! Smart!

    • Buy the Apple GC from Coles/WWS. So around 10% off for AC+

    • +1

Apple summer return to school deal offers 20% off AC+ if you are eligible for educational price.

      • I have never seen above 10% cash back for return to school educational price, when do they do 20%.

        • It's not cash back, simply 20% off of AC+ RRP from Apple during the limited time period.

  • Best Apple gift card deals currently to stack here?

      • Apple GC come in $100 / $200 / $500 amounts if memory serves me correct?

        • +3

Woolies offer the variable load cards up to $500 on each which give 20x points too, you could custom buy based on your needs to make a certain amount if you wanted.

          • @doweyy: Local woolies cleared out. Now to keep searching

  • how many gift cards can you use per transaction?

    • +1

8 but you can load up your apple balance with gift cards and they don’t count towards the 8

  • +1

Remember folks, the un-capped deal will be right around the corner.

  • Can Apple account balance be used for purchase?

    • +1

Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards, and eligible on the purchase of Apple refurbished products.

      • Account balance is different than gift cards though, isn’t it?

        • +1

No it's not, it's the same.

Can I purchase AirTags with this deal ?

  • If I make an Education Store purchase with 8% cash back and stack with Woolworths Rewards points for $100 off $1,000, How does this compare with historic prices on MacBook Mini M1 and MacBook Air M1?
I'm tempted to pull the trigger but I want to know if this is the best I can hope for. I appreciate your help.

  • How do you get it to track AOC store? I know it's been done in the past…

  • The best every way to do this is actually wait till Jan/Feb when they offer AirPods. Combine that with the cash back 5% and you have a deal. But i still don’t know if you can track CB to AOC store..

  • My purchase did not track in cashrewards. I emailed them and they added it manually.

I think there is some issue with the tracking system. It happened to me before as well. I think when I purchase something that requires some customisation, cashrewards does not track it automatically. Previously, I customised the ram, this time I added engravings…
