  • Powerful vacuuming  The UniversalVac 15 excels thanks to its high suction power. You can use it for both dry and wet cleaning tasks throughout your home without having to change filters thanks to the use of cartridge filters
  • Practical blast air function  The UniversalVac 15 is not only good for vacuuming; it also comes with a practical blast air function in addition to its standard suction function.
  • Practical accessories  You can clean larger areas using the floor nozzle with the wet/dry insert. The extralength crevice nozzle is ideal for hardtoreach areas. The cartridge filter is easy to clean, while the paper filter bag is simple to replace.

  • Guilty !!!

    • Never thought you were also an Expert

      • I got the badge last month.

  • Better then Supercheap or Repco ones

    • yes, the bosch is green, the other ones aren't.

on a serious note, it comes with the cartridge filter, not just foam, which some of the ozito bundles don't include, the cartridge filter is $15+ from what I recall…..so check what is bundled filter wise.

    • How so? I’ve had my eye on this which has been $90 for a few months:

      https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-toolpro-wet-and-…

It’s 35L and 1200W, which is better than the Bosch on both fronts (15L, 1000W).

      • +1

The Bosch has better suction. Wattage isn't an indicator of suction power. I discovered this from reading through reviews and then checked out the specs for all the available wet/dry vacuums at this price point. You need to look up the airwatts or kpa values. Bosch has the best airwatts.

        • The Bosch has far more suction than anything at this price point and matches stats with vacs that cost 5 times as much. It's a great deal at $130 and anything lower is a steal.

              • @Ehty: Was the coupon you clicked on 25% (from the calcs most likely). Mine shows 15%. Maybe previous bosch coupon purchases reduce other coupon options?

I'm in WA, so perhaps it's just calculating differently?

              • @generalpayne: Same here WA, but maybe I have some other promotional credit !

  • Anyone know how suitable this would be as a dust extractor hooked up to table saw / drop saw, etc?

    • It's decent. I've got the same unit attached to my table saw. Plenty of suction power… Might be overkill. Like most vacuums attached directly to a dust chute, best to get one of those separators… Cyclone things to prolong the life and makes cleaning up easier.

      • I am buying this for my table saw too. Does it include any adapter to a large port in the table saw?

      • Does it have a power tool plug in function - so it starts and stops with the tool?

    • Way over kill. The suction on these is almost twice most others.

    • Get a wetdry vac with power take off, which makes life a lot easier. If you have no rush, wait for the next aldi wet dry vac.

  • How goo is this for carpet cleaning.
Already have a dyson and Miele vacuums but do need one for carpet cleaning and shampooing

    • Would like to get some feedback too

    • From Customer questions & answers

Question: Can you use this to shampoo a carpet? Presumably by wetting and shampooing, and then vacuuming it clean.
Answer: No it is not a carpet shampooer.
It can be used as a wet vacuum cleaner only, not a shampooer.
Shampooers need a defoamer added as liquid is sucked up.

    • Not suitable for carpet. I tried with 4 different heads and nope. due to the suction power, its super difficult to push on carpet, both wet or dry.

  • I got $87.29 too. Still purchased but if anyone know how if was lower, pls post.

  • Need something to give the roof gutters a good clean.
Are these good for that purpose?

    • Not a bad idea! I’ve taken to mine with a high pressure sprayer, which works but probably much messier than vacuuming.

  • Same thought here?

  • Can you clean a car interior with this?

  • Missed out.

    • Shows in stock to me!

  • +1

Yes, but shows at $102.70 for me with coupon

  • I've had one for almost 2 years. Only suitable for outdoor/workshop use. Hard to use on carpet no matter what head you use due to the suction power and flimsy poles. Can use in cars with a car nozel attachment (also good for washing rugs). I bought a few attachments to use in various places. works great on wet floors and dusty workshops. can attach to power tools but is a little over kill for suction power, but at this price, great. has removable filter and bag. Works great as a blower as well.
Average sale price I've seen on these is $99.

  • Only shows as $100.75 for me

  • +1

It's probably the same for other wet/dry vacs, but be aware of the cost of consumables. I probably would have been in front buying a replacement vacuum at $80 and selling the one I have, but missed out. For those who haven't costed them yet:

    • cartridge filter is $25.26 each
    • prefilters are $8.42 each
    • paper dust bags are $33 for a 5pk

There are very limited purchase options for the filters, the cheapest seems to be from Bosch direct but they charge $10 postage so that sucks if you just need a new prefilter. I didn't have any luck finding generic replacements.

I don't use the paper dust bags as they wouldn't last long and I like to see that I haven't vacuumed up anything I didn't intend to when emptying. The paper dust bags would probably extend the life of the cartridge filter, but I can't see using them being anywhere close to economical.
