  • is this sink ideal for use in a laundry?

    • +2

Maybe. Laundry tubs are typically deeper than a kitchen sink.

    • +1

      That's definitely a kitchen sink.
You wouldn't want it in a laundry.

      • Single bowl though…OK for a small kitchen.

Not sure if under or over mount but I’m guessing it’s undermount

  • -2

This deal contains everything but the kitchen sink!

      • 1v1 me you cheapskate bell-ends

  • yes you are spot on not deep enough for laundry. pity because it's a nice sink, although I do need a new one in kitchen too.

  • +10

This has sharp corners FYI. Sharp corner sinks are notoriously a pain because dirt and grime get stuck. Rounded edges typically easier to clean/don't get as much dirty stuck in it.

    • +2

Not in my experience. Yes some dirt accumulates but wipes or rises away easily. It's constantly wet so doesn't dry on. The extra depth on these styled sinks compared with conventional ones is really good for keeping water from splashing out.

    • Under mount it solves the problem if you have stone tops

      • +1

However you get grime building up in the gap between stone and tub.
Top mount prevents chips to top of stone around sink (very common) but also makes it hard to sweep water and crumbs into the sink.

    • Exactly my experience with these sinks. It cleans up easily, but the fact you have to clean it is pretty gross. Love the depth, hate the corners and lack of drop from corners to drain

    • The 1+3/4 came second on our sink short-list when we renod last year. This price coulda swung things.

  • Do Costco sell kitchen kits like IKEA?

    • +1

      Negative

  • Square sinks look nice but getting into the corners to clean the gunk out is a real pain.

    • just blast them with a steam cleaner.

      • great, another appliance

        • Steam cleaners are great germ-killers though, and they save on all the "kitchen & bathroom cleaner" chemicals and land-fill spray bottles.
