    • What do ICOs and NFTs have to do with GPU prices? Just add in BETA and VHS and you'd be closer to the mark.

More likely ETH mining will no longer be a thing in a month or so and so demand has plummeted.

      Either way, still good cards.

  • These are much better prices than Scalptechs.

    • Keep calm and never feed a scalper :)

      • Ironically, BPC has been mentioned in old posts and other forums for setting precedents in scalping prices, with people uploading screenshots of prices and interactions on FB marketplace listings as private sales. Just saying it's out there if you look for it.

    $999 and we'll have a deal on the 12GB 3080 :)

    • +3

      hodl make em bleed green

  • +4

These are what the release prices should of been and cheaper than this for end of life / older models i still wouldn't buy these cards now to spite nvidia

    • +1

Nvidia doesn't care, they are already made and at retailers

    • +4

Pretty much this. I sold my 1660 super a while back in preparation to pick up a 3060. Along came the 3060 @1k. So I HODL’d for a while, until I realised I just don’t need one and no longer care. Now I make do with a 1030 system, an old 960 2gb in another and a family 5600g system with no dedicated card lol..

      • +2

I got a 1080ti and haven't bought anything since after i saw them robbing people lol

        • Ohh 1080ti is a dream card. I’d HODL onto that ;)

        • 1080 here and feel the same.

        • This is the way..

  • -4

mid september prices (calling it now) prices in AUD.

    3080 $400-500
    3080 ti $550
    3090 $700
    3090 ti $1k

    • +3

If you're right I'll be a happy boy.

    • +10

      Lol no way

    • +4

Snowball's chance in hell. They might get into the $600-1k price range, but it'll be after the Lovelace and RDNA3 launch.

  • +2

I love EVGA FTW cards. Still HODLing for now though.

  • +1

    HODL strong everyone

  • +4

Am I out of touch or is $950 for a 3070ti still a bit of a piss take?

    • +5

completely stupid when the 6900xt has been 999 and 3080 10gig/12gig for similar prices

  • +6

Is evga the company that has worldwide no BS warranty ?

    • +6

EVGA is probably the best gpu company in my opinion have owned 7 of there cards no issues and customer service is great they also fixed my old titan even when it was out of warranty period i would highly recomend them.

      • 7 cards, you're a damn miner!!

        • +2

          your soul mate

        • +3

          gtx 295 co op edition
          gtx 580
          gtx 660 sc
          gtx 680 classified
          gtx titan sc
          gtx 780 ti
          gtx 1080ti sc black edition

Used to upgrade cards when prices were reasonable after the 1080ti amazon deal never bought another card because there blatantly overpriced and just taking customers for a ride

  • +2

Can't fathom why anyone with their eye on an xx80/xx80Ti card wouldn't be waiting for Lovelace at this point, barring circumstances where you're literally GPU-less.

    • Most people are incredibly stupid. It's literally "derr I can't wait another 3 months" (despite already waiting 21 months). Then they'll delude themselves into believing they don't need the power of next gen despite spending over 1k.

Companies can just hold their prices high right to the end, drop the card $50 and these people will take the bait. They don't need to drop prices sooner or by large amounts. Nvidia simply need to drop their prices to msrp and these idiots will still buy them despite the gen being 2 years old.

  • Where's the 3060 ti?

    • +3

Nvidia isn't going to help their partners clear stock of the mid range cards and below. They should clear out over time. Could be some discounts soon though. HODL strong.

      • None of this is fact. This all comes from another bs source (another twitter leaker who calls himself moores law is dead)

The formula of "random twitter user claims this and we should all believe it" is getting old.

Anyone on twitter can make up anything they want and strike right. Everyone knows demand went down with crypto & Nvidia/AMD have stubbornly refused to drop prices. Unless nvidia pull another crypto related market manipulation strategy out of a hat, prices will obviously come down.

  • +11

WOW, only 3 months to new cards, a glut in warehouse's and these prices are not even back to RRP ~ sucks, HODL

    • +1

These are below RRP for most of them, but not where should have been.

  • +4

2 years later, finally back to it's original price.

Give it one more month and it'll actually be discounted.

  • +12

I don't consider RRP as a deal for a last gen card… Maybe when it's less than launch price.

    • +9

Agreed. In any case a 6900 XT is the better deal any day.

    • +6

      It's current gen until series 4 exists….

      • Yeah.. EOL current gen

It would be correct to call ampere old before calling it new

    • 3090 is way below the original RRP

      • +4

Original RRP is probab 2x the RRP it should of been lmao

        • The last gen Titans were even more expensive. 3090 (especially now) is a great deal if you need 24GB of VRAM and CUDA support for deep learning tasks, much less for gaming.

      • -1

The 3060ti and 3070 are above msrp. Most 3080 are above msrp too.

BuT dA 3090 iS bAlOw MsRp (good job on correcting him)

  • Im looking to buy a 3080ti maybe a 3090 if the price is right and use that until the end of the 4000 series life and then buy a 4080ti / 4090. I was stupid and bought a 3060ti at the peak around $1400 because i was sick of waiting ill never make that mistake again.

    • Don't buy anything hodl unless you're desperate for a card if that's the case buy a second hand 3080ti on gumtree when 4000 series comes out for peanuts and then use that till end of 4000 series life as long as you re thermal paste the card every few months and its not running on 80-90c 24/7 the card will run for a long time

      • Yeah ill hold out for the best possible deal and I'm not keen on buying second hand electronics

  • +1

The EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 is my dream card :) I am so happy we are finally seeing these prices..and hoping to hodl 1 more month to see if they dip to around 1k!

  • +5

"The stock is currently located at our new warehouse"

If anyone has ordered, please share the manufacturing date when your card is delivered. Will be interesting to see how long these cards have been sitting around in warehouses.

    • Worst I've seen is PLE. They put out a deal & whenever it gets hot they always "run out of stock". Only for the deal to appear again. Market manipulation technique to drive demand. People miss out then don't want to miss out the next time.

  • Any thoughts on whether we will be seeing similar discounts on the STRIX cards?

  • ahh shiet went to order one today and realised the prices went back up, any chance of another sale soon?

  • I thought the 3080s had 10GB Vram?
