  • Any user reviews?

    • I have the impact drill and used it for home DIY only, found it to be amazing. I have the older style hammer drill, not this one listed and found that the "hammer" function is really not sufficient to drill into hard stone or brick. I believe this is an issue with most hammer drills which are cordless however - the cordless ones simply can't delivery enough power to smash through.

At this price, this is an amazing deal and highly recommend to jump on it. I own 7 Bosch green cordless 18V tools and found all to be great, have not had any issues.

  • Does anyone know why bunnings is not selling green bosch tools anymore?

    • +1

      Not to compete with ozito/Ryobi?

  • +1

How does it compare to $99 Bunnings Ozito one does anyone know? Thanks

    • +1

      My question too

      • i would try ozito…. 5 years warranty

    • +1 I'd be buying the Ozito if cost was the number one factor which is the only reason to buy these low grade of tools.

    • Bosch is far superior to Ozito

      • +1

Well it's not as simple as that mate. High end Ozito lineup product with 5 years replacement warranty from local Bunnings for 2/3 of the price vs low end green Bosch with one year warranty, I would definitely go for Ozito.

        • +5

Lol, you just answered your own question. Why even ask the question if you already have the answer to your own question in your head

          • +1

@PleasureMe: I guess I'd ask where your "far superior" judgement came from

Is it based on torque, battery life, or tool make quality?

A 1 year warranty vs 5 is massive.

If the failure rate on Bosch is 5% per year, there is a 20% chance of failure before 5 years is up but outside of warranty

If the Ozito battery fails, you can get another either under warranty or for less than $30.

Unless I'm missing something Bosch green isn't the winner here

    Hi, are these brushless?

  • +2

when gone blue you never go back to green…..

    • Yeah because you want an entirely different brand (yeah I'm still salty over the fact they deem almost a mm of runout as acceptable).

  • +1

    i prefer ozito brushless package….
and warraty for green tool is only 2 years and battery is 1 year?
i used to have a bosch drill pack and battery died after 2 years light use.

    • Are these compatible batteries not the branded Bosch battery?

        • sorry I see its direct from Bosch… All good.

My 2c worth. I have the ozito brushless hammer drill and a makita brushless hammer driver as well. The makita driver is a lot better quality. Not sure how this compares to the Bosch but it is normally worth paying a bit extra for drills/impact drivers as they are used so frequently. That said, I have quite a few ozito tools and find that generally they are great. (Except for the drop saw!)

  • The price reminds me this deal

  • Any deals on the line trimmer and brush cutter combo?

  • Nothing beats m12

  • I got Bosch drills from bunnings which use the old type of batteries I think? They are both pretty much dead and both require like 2 hrs of charging for 2 minutes of light drilling.

Is it worth getting another set or is there a market out there for reasonable battery replacements?

  • Would love a deal on a Bosch blue brushless!

  • Ewww bosch green - do yourself a favour and get those bosch blue brushless ones, you can thank me later 😆

Honestly, i learnt the lesson after putting together a few garden beds and planter boxes, you really want to go for the semipro or even pro level tools.

I have a pair of bosch blue and also a pair of bosch blue pro core, heaps better than the brushed ones and all have 18v 4ah batteries which lasts forever and charges up in 1 hour.

  • I was hoping to get a dual impact wrench/impact driver to be able to work DIY carpentry/masonry projects as well as work on the car, remove lug nuts etc. (I have a mid-sized SUV)

Is there such a thing? Or should I buy an impact driver and impact wrench separately?

    • The old Bosch Blue impact driver I had couldn't handle removing wheel nuts let alone anything like suspension work. It was OK for driving screws into soft timber etc. I do still have the impact wrench that I bought as it was the one Bosch tool that I liked but even it's outclassed by more recent versions.

  • I have the drill, it is the most comfortable drill to use for DIY and light use. It is light and quiet, soft to grip and well balanced in hand. Bosch green is designed for light use so it meets target. But definitely too weak for serious jobs.
Biggest problem I suppose is the battery - I just don't understand why BOSCH intentionally make their own battery systems different. I opened both green and blue batteries they are both very well made. Some tools when it is not worth to design 2 versions green and blue tools are almost identical.
