Great for frothing your Bonsoy from the recent Amazon deal. I previously bought the 12oz version when it was $13.99. It's a fine jug

How does this differ to the one you can buy at Kmart for $6.00?

    • -3

Less likely to break/leak. Better temperature regulation. Has volume markings on the inside. Better shape/easier to make latte art with

      • +8

I've never known a stainless steel jug to break/leak.

        • +6

It's the handle that snaps off at the weld. Edit: It's happened to me

        • +4

I once saw such a jug leak before. The year was 1983. A great year for Aussie yachting, not so good for stainless steel jugs.

          • @OldBugger: Username checks out

          • @OldBugger: Did you have an onion in your belt as was the fashion at the time?

    • Have the kmart one for $6, buy more if you think it will break. It's just as unlikely to break as any other milk frother. Latte art is the same as any other milk frother.

As for heat retention? It's perfectly fine. It gets hot when the milk is ready just like any other milk jug for steaming milk

Sure, buy two throwaways from Kmart or get a better one for $3 more. For the rest of your points, I'm guessing you haven't used many frothing jugs. Either way, this isn't exactly controversial. If you want a better frother this is a good option. Or was a good option.. If you don't, go to Kmart

Been making coffee for 30 years. What else are you going to guess wrong?

Is anyone else allowed to share their opinion or is yours the only one that counts because you posted this?

@TEER3X: Have you been working professionally for 30 years?

            • +1

@sunnyc: Yes, but not in the coffee industry

I love dogs and like to take long strolls along the beach.

              What about you?

              • +1

@TEER3X: I have a few coffee machines but I hire the baristas. $15 is reasonable for a milk jug. It makes no difference when 1L of milk alternative costs $6-7 average, a barista making almost 7 figures.

Why throw away if you can get it replaced under warranty?

Lisa, in this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics!

    Lol @ $75 original price

  • I can't add it to the cart

    • Looks like it's sold out

  • How to froth milk with this thingie?

    • You need a steam wand

      • So… Not a "Magic wand" ?

        • Might just work

          • @Soapdroid: Or one of those super expensive coffee machine ($2K +) then maybe? In that case, no deal! I'd rather go to my local coffee shop and have someone to make it for me with (sometimes) free donuts to boot for a measly $4. Now, that's real good value.

    • It's an additional $800+ for the froth

  • +2

Cheaper here if you missed out and I'm sure even cheaper via china elsewhere.

    • Probably made in the same china factory as the kmart one
