    Who asked for this?

    • +1

Just did a quote from curtain places for electric curtains as we have a huge 10m long by 2.2m high curtains which we want to automate. Quotes carried from $1400-$2300. So $59 is pretty sweet as a budget option.

      • pay double and get v2

What has the world come to.
Need a robot to open your curtains.

    • Mate, you cannot get undress and open curtains at the same time. There's a market for it.
      Hahaha

    • If it can be done on a timer, timed right it could be a saver on heating /cooling a house.
      Security.. Looks like someone home.
      Handicapped…

So even though you are short-sighted on a need like this, doesn't mean it's not a good idea tbh.

      • +1

^ these are actually great points!
Good if they are on a timer, and yeah didn't think about the handicapped - makes sense there too.
        Cheers

        • No worries.
But I'm not planning on buying one soon tbh.
I'll stick with a fairly dumb house atm.
          It matches me well.

  • Does everything have to be "smart"?

    • +1

      yes.

    • No, hence why you may not want to buy this? Do you have a smart home?

    • No

  • Important - only works on what they call "I" rails (like a steel construction beam) - see 2nd image in listing.

I've never seen this type of curtain rail before, won't work for me anyway.

    • Agree, was hoping it worked with my s fold rails.

    • Yeah that's a bummer, mine are the 'U' rail type 🫤

  • +2

Op any deal for u rail? Cheers

    • Or v2 rods
