Bought one last week at this price and very happy so far.
I bought the black one a few months ago, it's fine. I thought that my $10 Logitech B100 was holding me back in art and gaming, and that a higher DPI mouse would give much smoother control.
Turns out high dpi just means the cursor moves faster and really has no benefit that I can tell, and I ended up just setting it to a similar cursor speed as the B100 had. The RGB is also annoying and you have to have logitech software running constantly in the background to disable it (and it will come back on every time you restart the computer, are in the BIOS, etc). I suppose the side buttons might be nice if I could get into the habit of using them, so far they've mostly just caused me to accidentally go back on webpages.
Personally I recommend just getting a B100. More expensive mice don't have any benefit from what I can tell, but this is the most expensive mouse I've ever tried, so maybe it's just not all that good compared to a cheap mouse.
For art, try higher DPI but setting the mouse speed lower in config.
Actually you may be right, maybe the windows mouse speed was messing me up.
Black one is $39 at CentreCom.
