Asus Radeon RX 6700 XT Dual 12G Graphics Card $599 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Umart

980

Seems to match the recent low price from Harris Technology (though Asus vs Gigabyte). The deal has been extended for 6 days.

According to Tom's Hardware it performs between a 3060 Ti and 3070: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

Great price for a good model.

    • Is this known as a good model? I tried finding reviews for this particular Asus card and couldn't find anything.

      • It's their base model for 6700xt but that doesn't mean it's not "good". You can spend more and get the next model up with greater clock speeds but performance difference might not be noticeable for you.

  • +1

This is what I waited for in mid June. Maybe for $530 but at least not an asrock.

They can keep it. Too expensive 6 weeks later

    • +8

I agree 100%. I was hoping for better.

    • +1

What's wrong with asrock GPUs? 🤔

  • +1

Just buy already jimmy $599 surely a buy for jimmy..

    • +26

Ignore that troll. He expects GPU prices to keep falling by $50-$100 every month from now, so by the end of this year unless this is free he won't want it.

      • +18

Death, Taxes, and Jimmy77 finding something to complain about on a GPU post

      • +8

FREE?! That's an outrage. By the end of the year unless they pay me to take it, I'm not buying.

        (My Jimmy impersonation)

    • +14

Nah too expensive for mid range gpu. I'm surprised most people here don't think they're too expensive.

      • +7

Due to rising inflation I can't afford gpus at this price anymore, I will HODL for lower prices

      • +14

I strongly agree with you; people forget this is a deal site, and this isn't a deal given the current market conditions. This is simply more proof HODL will eventually make these cards sell at their actual value.

        • It matches the ATL so I would say it is a deal considering the current market conditions, but with normal market conditions it would be extremely overpriced for this tier, especially this long after release.

          • +1

@eepykate: There are lots of credible sources that are saying NVIDIA has huge surpluses of GPUs right now (which also affect AMD). They'll want to clear as much as they can before launching 4000 series cards.

        • +1

Some people have fun gaming on their computers.

You lot seem to have fun waiting to game on their computers.

          • +2

@TheRealCJ: It has been a great time for retro gaming!

      • +4

It feels way better than a mid-range GPU. I use mine at UWQHD and it dominates.

        • +3

I'm also playing at 3440x1440 and yes this is performing well in modern games, but the R9 390 performed well at this resolution as well and it was definitely a mid-range GPU. I think it's been a reasonable expectation for at least 5 years that the ~$500 class of GPU should be able to play 3440x1440 comfortably - it was certainly true back in 2015 (unless you bought a 970, that was always a bit of a shit experience)

      • +2

I'm with you, Jimmy. RTX 3070 for $600 is fair. $500 max for this card.

        • +1

7% slower than a 3070 so it should be 17% cheaper?

Edit: hang on, 3070's start at $830, this is 32% cheaper already.

          • +1

@AEKaBeer: DLSS > FSR. That makes the difference for me. I might go AMD if 4000 series is delayed and FSR catches up by the 7000 series launch though. Also RTX 3070 can be had for around $760.

            • +2

@locknuts: Eh I've played around with DLSS on the 3070, other than cyberpunk doesn't seem worth the blurriness in motion on the handful of games I tested it on.

      • I agree. Six-hundred dollars is just ridiculous.

  • +5

the price to performance on this seems REALLY solid for $599

  • +1

Thing is he isn't a troll he truly believes what he says most of the time.

    • frightening isnt it

      • It really is …

  • +1

pretty sure there was a post on ozbargain from some lucky sod got this for low $500's from umart about 1.5 months ago

    • +3

Might have been me. Got one for $535 back on the 6/6 but out of stock shortly afterwards.

  • +6

Just copped this one. Seemed like a good deal.

    • -2

The Powercolor red devil for $649 (from pccg) was far better value imo. It was in stock for weeks.

The dual is as bottom tier as you'd want to go (with asrock/inno3d etc in the undesirable category). The red devil and nitro are the best 6700xt models you can get

    • dont worry mate I personally think you made a good decision 👍

      • +1

Haha cheers mate, not worried at all because it seems like Jimmy is known as a sort-of troll here.

        • If you need a card now this is about as good as it gets for value for money which is also well future proofed. But if you're in a situation to hold out with an older card and see if prices drop more with the crash of crypto and so on, it's still kind of iffy, since compared to the past for graphics cards, prices are still high.

    • This card is an absolute beast. Huge and heavy for a 2 fan. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

  • +4

    waiting for 6800XT or 6900XT

  • +1

    ************crying***********

  • +1

6800 at this price and I'll bite!

  • +2

bought one of these at $999 and thought it was a bargain. (back then 3060 is selling in this range)

  • +8

Even if this card was $499 jimmy wouldn't buy it.

    • +4

even if it were $399 hed be ranting about how the retailers are tricking us with good deals

  • Same price as the Mech 2X (forgot if it was OC or not) on Amazon back in June.

  • -2

Nice price. I sold my 1080 ti for around this price a few months ago and this is similar in performance.

    • +3

      Check this out.. a 6600XT is crushing a 1080ti… i think a 6700XT would be around 50% faster
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZF2PANyCTA&t=52s

      • +1

He would be referencing gpu noob Userbenchmark. It's the first result in google when noobs search x gpu vs y gpu

But yes even 6600xt is faster than 1080ti

        • +5

YES.. some people mistake performance when they go to Userbenchmark that site should be taken down for misinformation

      • +1

Seems very similar to me in the video you linked?

        • +1

          he linked a 6600xt not a 6700xt.

    • Rip. Flipped mine for over $900, there’s some maniacs out there 🤣

  • Does anyone have this model and know if there are any issues with it being louder than a 3 fan model?

  • Crypto miners be like :@

  • Coming up as $699?

    • It might be store specific, but it's still $599 for me. If you're ordering for delivery then maybe try changing it to another store and seeing if you get a cheaper price, but I think all online orders come from the one place in Brisbane (which has its own stock levels as well, 'online' stock, versus the individual stores).

    • still $599.

    • umart has store specific pricing and stock, change locations in top left

  • +2

Ive seen many USED 6800 16gb go for $600 now on eBay and Facebook & its a TRUE 3070 competition

  • I'm not sure who reported it as expired / out of stock, but this is what I'm seeing: https://i.imgur.com/sCMr7vE.png

It might depend on your store selection.

    • Appears the price has risen to $699 for stores that don't have stock

      • +1

        The SA and WA stores?

  • +1

    "Was $1,079.0 "

Wild that people were buying mid end cards for 1k+

    • You had no other options besides waiting ..

      • -4

Waiting is an option. Unfortunately that doesn't compute with millennials/gamers

        • +1

If you don't have any video card to use due to a card dying or just entering the market with a first build, waiting isn't an option for everybody. I'm personally waiting but understand that others might not have that option, hence still posting the best prices when I see them. Unfortunately in my case I need an NVIDIA card for AI tasks, and I suspect some students would be in the same situation.

          • @CodeExplode: Understandable but there's a lot of people with > GTX 1060 type cards that literally couldn't wait. I'm on a GTX 970 with a 1440p screen and it gives me 90fps on every game up to 2020 on low shadows/effects/post processing.

            A lot of people paid $1100 for a 6700xt when they had a GTX 1070 or better. That kind've money isn't worth lights/shadows/cyberpunk 2077/fs2020

  • +7

Really want to pull the trigger, but jimmy still disapprove.

  • +1

3060ti may reach this price one day…

    • +1

      Please God let this be

  • +9

Six hundred bucks does not pass the spouse-acceptance test for perceived value.

    • Good god yes. Need a $500 6700XT or a 6800XT at ……not sure.

      • +1

I paid 289 in 2019 for an MSI RX580 8GB Armor OC card, and that was overpriced considering how hot it runs. Pricing is still currently ridiculous.

  • +2

I cAn't believe there aren't more people thinking like Jimmy. usually the the deals community is counting every single Penny, yet GPUs just below or at MSRP are considered crazy good deals. wait at least till NVIDIA and AMD announce their new cards.

    • +3

I totally agree with you. People downvoting Jimmy probably bot their cards at higher prices and feel less guilty when others try to buy at higher prices. Or are simply miners trying keep the card prices high till they sell their stock.

  • +1

So it went from flash sales to extended sales. Guess the demand is lower than anticipated

    • +1

Yeah the last sale of theirs that I posted never went out of stock either. The crash of crypto and other factors like financial difficulties and maybe people waiting for next gen now is looking like it's driving down demand quite a lot compared to just a few months ago.

Still if somebody needs a card right now this is probably about as good as it gets for value for money and with long term future proofing.

  • +1

    OOS

    • I thought some people here saying it is not selling and still in stock?

      • They probably still have more. They constrained supply in the first place by ending the deal at midnight.

How many deals do you see being reinstated? It's a retailer tactic to make people panic. They end the deal with 1/2 stock remaining then next day" deal back on". Then FOMO amongst all the millennials kicks in. They're easy & predictable to make money off (just scare them into going without something)

It's happened with essentially every deal posted here, it ends then it's back on. "We have more stock". That's how they create false demand. They've witnessed in 2021 that limiting supply will make gamers pay far more.

        • all the millennials kicks in. They're easy & predictable to make money off (just scare them

There's a blind irony in your posts and your repeated use of the boogeymen of millennials.

    • Yeah it's out of stock everywhere now. I've updated the listing.

  • +1

Rather buy 3080ti or 3090ti for future proofing but new gen is coming out soon anyway so not worth buying current gen anymore
