Started searching for a 5700 XT deal since the SE deal sold out this morning. Figured this is a pretty good deal for Gigabyte's AORUS GPU at the moment.

$849? They really jacked the price before the sale. Either way $509 for this card is a good deal. Nothing offers better value at the mid end atm

very nice find, was hoping they would crack under $500

Pulled the trigger on this one, thanks!

This is a well engineered model of 5700xt heatsink and fan wise. I had one but the screen would randomly flash to black on the opening of some games and then the HDMI audio scaler started failing leaving the audio crackly and distorted and unusable. I returned it to gigabyte through the retailer, scorptec who also said it was faulty but gigabyte refused to admit it was faulty. Had to follow up with scorptec under my ACL rights in order to get a refund I'm very wary of gigabyte products from now on.

  • Do they offer the free keyboard like Shopping Express? Or the 2 free games via AMD redemption?

    • Idk. Does anyone have a link to the details of the promo?

      • It's out-of-stock.

        • PcByte are running the same promo and it says on the banner it's applicable for 5600XTs and 5700XTs purchased between 27-30 November.

    • +1 .. because that is what made the deal this morning good.

$500 for a RX 5700 XT is a bit meh

      • +3

Besides the fact that this morning's deal was mispriced and no one got it, $529 for a card when next cheapest is $629 is hardly "a bit meh" when you consider an SSD with $20 off gets 50 upvotes regularly on here.

From a price per performance perpesctive, this price makes the card a good buy compared to next gen for those who don't want to spend $1k on a GPU. At the non discounted price, you are better off buying latest gen Nvidia or AMD as they will have better price per performance.

I wasn't aware this mornings deal was mispriced.

I should revise my comment in saying that the price of $529 is not a super deal on Black Friday … given umart was selling their ASRock version for this price for the past 2 week (OOS now) and they are selling this Gigabyte for $559, thus my "is a bit meh" comment.

          • @CY: Scorptec had the ASRock version for $399 at 5pm today which makes this deal look ehhhh

  • +1

This is a good price for a decent model delivered as well.

  • +3

Showed up as $509, added to basket and went to checkout, changed to $529, bastards.

  • +3

About to place order and now they jack the price by 20, I will pass then

  • +4

    • Is it only for AORUS?

Managed to pick one up for $509. Don't really want to wait until next year for more overpriced GPU's..

    • +2

I'm half in this mindset, and half thinking that a 3070 has 2x the performance of this, raytracing and can be had with a prebuilt from techfast for 1.6k with a 3700x and 16gb 3200mem.

Who am I kidding I'll be stuck with my 1070 for well after Cyberpunk. I can't afford any of these GPUs and I hate how expensive they have got. Enjoy your 5700xt, you're going to be gaming well.

  • Im planning to get the Dell 27 inch DGF tonight, currently using an RX570 4gb, would that suffice with the Dell monitor for playing WoW, or am i better off grabbing a 5700 xt or 2070 super?

    • +1

You get effectively double the performance provided you have a decent CPU at 1440p with a 5700XT vs RX570 speaking from personal experience (went from RX570 to 5700XT). 2070S is only 5-10% faster on average but 5700XT is slowly clawing back that gap and I'd expect the 5700XT to be the faster card in a couple of years.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply mate, im using a ryzen 5 3600 atm, only just built my system about 2 months ago so everything is quite current, just carried over the gpu from my last build.

Think i will snap this one up if another deal pops up, you've convinced me haha. Cheers!

        • +1

I'd say you'll be just fine and I'd definitely pick a 5700XT over the RX570. The 570 just doesn't cut it at 1440p unless you're fine with 30-40fps in newer games (I'd imagine WoW would run fine on the 570).

  • This is good for mining Bitcoin right? Nicehash says roughly $2 a day after electricity costs. That would break even in about 10 months.

  • Does anyone know how it compares to this card? The below is what I already have

    • +1

much of a muchness, this aorus one is just the fancy model but be virtually no performance differences.

      • +1

Fair. Thought that might be the case. Yeah I got my 5700XT for just $504 back in August and been pretty happy with it since. I drive a 34" 3440x1440 (yes the Xiaomi one) and things run mostly just fine.

Currently playing Yakuza Like a Dragon and runs smooth at 60fps or around 90 if I drop to 2560x1080. Temps are also fine with undervolting.

    • I Just checked myself as I was not sure if I should get this one or the Gigabyte 5700XT (which is local stock with Umart but 550).
      https://youtu.be/6mNM1WHQSAY

As kensaiD said, hardly any difference especially if you already have the 5700XT.

I have ordered the Aorus for 529 to replace my 1060 6GB. Been waiting for some 3080 stock (at all) or 3070 (at decent prices) and figured it is not worth the wait.
Maybe look at upgrading some time next year when we have decent stock levels, TI version and/or decent prices.
