You're correct this is a DRAM-less SSD.
Silicon Power may be smaller than the major brands but I wouldn't call it a small brand.
searching "Silcon Power a55 29F04T2AOCTH1" on google have 3 result only after select must include 29F04T2AOCTH1 .
All 3 result was dated around 2018…. how much confidence do we have to believe that they have not changed their design?

@Pugkin: DRAM is a big concern in terms of performance,
what more is if they sourced chips with limited QC and/or high failure rate, bye bye pricious data.
Even mx500 starts using QLC, so who knows.
@Richardc: AFAIK MX500 have had serval revision change, the last one have cut down some DRAM cache size, but have been using TLC the whole time.
BX500 which is the crappier one, is indeed mixing TLC/QLC now —- but it was bad anyway even before QLC is a thing…

Proper evidence with tear down and chip marking, benchmark & firmware readout etc.
Silicon power mostly focus on industrial solutions. Many unheard commerical storage companies don't bother in the consumer space
We use SP industrial products because can lock the BOM used on that device, adjust signal integrity from device to platform, exclusive manufacturing and stock availability and EOL notification of IC components (so we can retest and approve when a suitable alternative is found).
Flash controller and flash memory information is generally requested via email to accounts team.

3yr warranty vs 5yrs for brands like crucial is a factor for me.
Anecdotal but I've had 2 crucial ssds fail but no SP drives fail. not saying SP are better, but you're going to have duds in all brands.

I've got a 256Gb version of this.
Awful, excessively slow for both read and write. I was getting faster transfer speeds on my HDD's. I recall it was about 70 mb/s which is horrendous.
I've got way better speed with the 256G I bought years back. That might suggest either you have bad sata cable/port/motherboard etc, or the drive have changed revision and become crap.
I ruled out all the usual suspects - USB cable, USB enclosure, different port, different PC etc. I did wonder if it was a TRIM issue, however a full reformat didn't make any difference… I'm sure it was faster when I first go it, so I was truly stumped when it got so slow.
It was most probably due to the lack of a DRAM cache making the performance terrible.
I had one for download drive, so far so good.
The last Silicon Power SSD i had a 2.5" 480GB model died within a year under light use. It turned out to be an awful drive. I don't trust this brand. I use Crucial MX500 SSD now instead.
pros: price,
cons:
1. small brand with almost no tear down to tell what chipset/controller used
2. you won't know which brand/grade of a storage chip this was used (if you buy Crucial or Samsung you are gauarnteed to get Micron/Samsung chipset with realiable source)
3. Likely DRAM cache less —- nothing mentioned on the website/spec.
Crucial MX500 for $25 more to me is a better deal — at least before I know what's inside this one.
