Was looking for a high endurance card for my new on-the-way Viofo A129 dash cam and came across this deal from Amazon US.
Looks like a good price considering it's U3 and Samsung.

How is this compared to Sandisk Max Endurance cards?
Is there a difference to this one? It’s actually cheaper here.

U3 vs U1, the one in this post is the newer version with much faster write speed.
For a dashcam, does the higher write speed matter?
I can't imagine it does. But the Samsung U3 cards are only $22 on Amazon anyway. Just depends whether these "Endurance" cards last any longer
@Mallard: I believe the endurance cards have better ability to handle temperature variations seen in a car.
Some people have no issues with standard cards, some people swear by endurance cards. YMMV
Nice price! I got 2 for $2.50 off each, making them only $5 more expensive than the goodguys deal (which later got cancelled for being too cheap)
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/707517Has your TGG purchase been refunded. I've sent three online chat requests regarding the 128gb endurance card and had no reply at all.
Tracking still shows as waiting for picking."Status Description: Your product is arriving from our supplier and will be picked for you shortly. Youll receive an sms update from us as soon as your order is ready."
No refund here. Support email told me they are discontinued, the ones in this post are the replacement and I should contact the store for some reason.
SanDisk Max Endurance 128 was less than this ($32?) yesterday from AU. Same speeds and write hours.
I've had issues with SanDisk and my BlackVue dashcam in my other car - so didn't want to risk it.
$27 dollars for sandisk version, any ideas which one better?

Only rated for 10,000hrs. Equivalent is the Max Endurance I mentioned above. I mistakenly ordered this from Amazon for $21 and sent it back today.
I ordered the same, 128 at $21. As.per the post the other day.
I also ordered the Samsung and endurance. Thinking to send the SanDisk back, when it finally arrives….
Currently only these new Samsung Endurance Pro cards with the blue write are 'wear proof'. They say:
BUILT TO LAST UP TO 140K HOURS OF RECORDING: With capacities up to 256GB*, the PRO Endurance records and rewrites up to 140K hours (over 16 years)**; Plus, with a warranty up to 5 years***, you can rest assured that your data endures
The cheaper and confusingly named Samsung Endurance Pro that are black and red are rated at a smaller 43,800 hours.
The new card specs are at: https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/memory-ca…
The old card specs are at: https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/memory-card/memory…Sandisk has the Max Endurance cards rated at 120,000 hours. Specs at: https://www.westerndigital.com/en-au/products/memory-cards/s…
Samsung 128 is 70,000hrs, SanDisk Max 128 is 60,000hrs. About the same.
The red and black Samsung pro endurance are the older versions that have been superseded by these upgraded white and blue ones. the red and black ones won't be available after stock runs out.
What's so confusing? What's confusing about two products with the same name and very different spec's? Really?
Oh, they have different colour letters on the front? OK, that will make sure there can never be any possible chance of confusion ever! It's an update of a product. It's quite common for things to keep same retail name when they update product lines. It's not hard to grasp.
Does this US import have local warranty.. or it this at ur own risk?
Thanks for this - been looking to update the dashcam card.
Looking for one this morning too. These are $34 at Harvey Norman
Edit: HN ones are the old black and red ones
These new Samsung Pro Endurance cards are advertised as 'wear proof'. In the specs they do wear but we're talking about years of use. You can tell these apart from the old Samsung Pro Endurance with the blue printing. The old ones are not wear proof and are black and red. The specs show that the 256GB one lasts longer and is quicker but they're both slow cards. They're not supposed to be fast, and they're not supposed to be the cheapest per GB, they're designed to take a beating and endure high write loads like with CCTV recording.
I'm waiting on them to go on sale.
