For a second there I was questioning whether I want an inflatable boat with a motor for $99.

    • Likewise.
Poorly worded title, or intentionally worded title?

Changed title, sorry for the confusions

I thought that in Australia you are not allowed to sell or buy new 2 stroke motors?

    • +2

      Not sure.
But I was thinking (even if you are allowed to), why would you buy a 3.5hp 2-stroke? Surely these days an electric motor would be so much easier and better (not to mention cleaner etc etc).

Given that the boat isn't actually $99, I would not be tempted to buy it as part of a package with a 2-stroke petrol motor. Much more likely to just buy the boat itself and add my own electric propulsion.

    • If it's carburetted, I'm pretty sure that is the case.

I don't think these would have the fuel injection technology to meet the emission requirements.

Isn't the recent $140 Intex Explorer Amazon deal coupled with a ~$400 electric motor a better valued proposition than this?
