Are you 100% it's 100w per speaker??? Reviews online say 80w. :)
Seems to be different power levels depending on the configuration.
110 Watt - 6 Ohm - THD 1.0 % - 7 channel(s) ( Surround )
80 Watt - 6 Ohm - 40 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.2 % - 2 channel(s) ( Main )
I own a Sherwood RD-6506 and loving it, I brought it from JB HiFi for $250 at Xmas.
The reciever here looks good, but I am not sure about those speakers. Hard to find any info or reivews of them online.
I have heard the speaker model below those above http://www.sherwood-av.com.au/SpeakerSystems/GSP511051ChSyst…
They performed pretty good for their price, similar to this once an entry level AVR added to speakers.
This pack has larger bass drivers which will help especially with the center speaker, speakers with smaller driver can struggle to keep up when the volume gets turned up.
This is a good deal for those wanting a well priced 5.1 set-up, but need something more capable than the little satellite speakers you get with most lower cost systems.
It's a very good package for the price.
Isn't this a 7.1 setup?
The price does seem very good deal.
The amp is a 7.1 dual zone AVR.
Though unless extra speakers have been added the speaker pack is 5.1.
You could grab a pair of these from JB to make it 7.1.
http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/home%20theatre/speakers/sherw…They will be fine for the rear surround channels.
or you could grab any bookshelf speaker and run them in zone 2 if you only need 5.1 in movie room.
My mistake, I didn't realise the 7.1 in the title was only referring to the Reciever, not the speaker set. Cheers for that.
Only 3 HDMI not enough. TV/Projector, PS3, HDD Blueray/DVD recorder / Foxtel?
I might need 4.
Your TV/Projector gets connected to the HDMI output of the AVR not an input, leaving the inputs for PS3, HDD Blu-ray/DVD recorder Foxtel etc.
