    The cheapest ever by Amazon is $299 (Amazon) in June 2021.
    At $349 is not very cheap, but then 700 is a good NC Headphone.
    The design is cool and sleek.

          Sony store had it for $550.
          Cashrewards had 10% cashback $50, amex had $75 cashback at Sony store and Gst trs $50.

          I bought it but the cashrewards didnt even track.

        I got mine 3-4 weeks ago, and I am pretty happy with it.
        This was my first proper headphone, so not much to compare with. However, I went to JB for sound test and feel XM4 has a better bass but XM5 has a more true feel to the song quality. The design, comfort and extra mics had won me over.

      Yes and yes. Mrs w has these.

      Normal XM4 v NC700 comment:

      • XM4s sound a bit better, even moreso with some fine tuning
      • NC700 isolate a bit better. Tested on a Super Kingair 200 (think LOUD).

        XM4s are rubbish for calls, the NC700 do a great job on calls.
        XM4s do have a little better sound signature for music

    For anyone in the market for new ANC headphones, check out the Shure Aonic 50's. Prime members can currently get them for $300 (until midnight) in white. While not as well known as Bose or Sony, reviews rave about them and they seem to score higher than the 700s/xm5s. I bit the bullet and ordered a pair as I've been in the market for a set.
