@ozbs25: Has definitely been cheaper, the 20% works for me as well and its coming up on my end as $39.48 though I have no idea if that's with $5 promo as well. If anyone can confirm discount after 20% I'll edit post.

Same here, did not use any $5 promotional credit, just clicked on the 20% coupon and it applied at the checkout.
Looks like it calculates the 20% off from the original price then minuses it from the discounted price. Good for us :D

It sounds like it shouldn't, as the CR terms forbid "Use of any promotional codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field". Whereas this is a box you tick and it is applied automatically.

I'd play it first before getting the expansions. No point to get expansions if you don't like the base game.
That being said I have both and enjoy both.
Europe is more of the same. If you like the base game and just want more birds go with that.
Oceania mixes things up a bit with a new resource and new player boards. I find it supercharges the game with the new wild food type and everyone is just playing birds like crazy. Also nice to have birds that I recognise.
