Needed a dryer quickly and saw this for much cheaper at Bunnings than other stores. Not as cheap as upcoming Aldi sale, but they had stock ready.

Hey did you do a pickup or was it delivered? I am trying to find out if delivered, will they help to put it into place or they just drop it outside your house.
i did a pickup. When i bought a washing machine with TGGs, they delivered it into the house as close as possible to the position.
Thought I’d post something in the main thread so more people see it
Yes it has reverse tumbling, every four minutes it goes into reverse for five seconds before resuming normal direction again
Yes it seems to have a sensor of some description because my 2.10 hour bed linen cycle has increased in time by 20mins after an hour and a half
Thanks for confirming.
I have seen some heat pump dryers that don't reverse tumble that long. But still good that it does offer reverse tumble.
Also good that it does have some sensor to adjust the cycle. I am looking more into this dryer again.
I've seen that with smaller loads the time reduces quite a lot.
Manual says there's a humidity sensor, but there's no specific sensor load setting like the 7kg dryer
Yeah I wish there was an ‘auto mode’
Maybe ‘mix’ is the closest thing in this dryer
I like that the 8kg one as the display so you can see how long is to do in the dry cycle. The 7kg doesn't have the display but has the sensor. Plus it is Ozbargains favourite heat pump dryer. So it's a tough choice.
This, or try and secure the Aldi one, or wait for the 7kg with the better sensor?
I am thinking the same thing. However I am unsure the Aldi one has the sensor too? From reading some comments online .. some say the Esatto heat pump dryer is rebadged into other names like Inalto. Solt is very similar. Kogan has one. Normally the 8kg one doesn't have the sensor. The Kogan one has the sensor though so there are some exceptions. Just need to read the manual first. I can't find the Aldi manual though.
What does the sensor do; measure humidity moisture level to know the clothes are dry then turn off or keep it running longer? I wonder how useful it actually is.
I have never owned a heat pump dryer so I don’t know. But if the sensor is important then probably best to get the 7kg Esatto one.
An example: I set a load going that was 3/4 dried on line. The cycle was for 1.5 hours. But the sensor realised the clothes were just about dry, and adjusted the cycle time to 25 minutes.
@iamherenow: Thanks for confirming. How long did it take for the sensor to calculate the adjusted time? Like straightaway or after a few minutes?
@Monty1089: It wasn't straight away. Maybe 5 minutes or so.
Can anyone who has this dryer tell me how far from the front of the machine the front feet are set back? Overall length is stated as 650mm, I have a 600mm bench so wondering if the feet might sit on the bench or not? Went to my local bunnings but they have none on display.
They will be on the bench. From very back to front of front foot measured just under 580. 600mm bench will have a few cm of the body overhanging the bench. Then the door on top of that.
Cheers. Thanks for that
Picked one up thanks
Dang, you strong.
Aren't esatto assembled in Sri Lanka and made in Thailand, or this does not compare to Eshanno which is from China
Does anyone know if this can be wall mounted ? Can’t find any info on this online!
It's 50kg apparently so no. Apparently heat pump dryers can be stacked but not wall mounted
I've got a laminate bench in my laundry which I was going to sit it on, however I realise the depth of this is 65cm and my bench depth is only 60cm (or 56cm once I allow some clearance for the powerpoint, unless I relocate it). Its a double brick wall so I thought of putting brackets and a shelf to sit this on (obviously over-engineered to withstand the weight) but it sure is a heavy unit… Wondering if any other heat pump dryers can be wall mounted or if they are all like this…
The feet will sit on a 600mm bench. But only just. About 20mm to spare.
The back of it only protrudes in select spots. Most of it isn't that deep. So if you are lucky it wouldn't interfere with the powerpoint.
Just bought one thanks, bunnings had 759 sticker on it but scanned at $697 promotional. I wouldnt wait for the aldi one apparently its delayed anyways (says on the aldi website)
Impressions - looks good, The finish overall is probably not as my LG washing machine, I had dried some towels and it came out nice and fresh
It does reverse rotation and I am pretty sure it has the humidity sensor as the program i set was 1 hour but as the towels were so so dry it automatically set it to 39 mins after starting.
Yes it doesnt have all the fancy programs like the other brands, but upgrading from a 4kg vented with a timer is an upgrade for me and I cant justify 3x the price for a dryer
Also 2 years + 1 year extended warranty for online registration.
Thanks for posting this.
So it has some form of the humidity sensor which is good. This was a worry for me and others but someone else mentioned their time had adjusted as well.
3 years warranty is also good. Not as good as Beko which is 5 years.
Can you tell me what the intensity button does? Does it increase the drying time?
From what I have read, the intensity button is for extra dryness.
Also these are the same as the solt, inalto and teka (samething at $1200) they are from the same family brand. for the price I can't fault it. But only time will tell if it will last or not.
Yeah I did read that all these brands share the same or similar heat pump dryer. Aldi was based on the Esatto before but some said later models were based on a Kogan.
The Teka version is the best rated on product review. So if they are all very similar you would think the performance should be too.
@dredee : hey mate , did you pick up from Bunnings as my local bunnings mentions to have stock but on phone confirmed that they dont have stock and cant do C&C
I just picked up one at my local bunnings yesterday
2 left on the shelf when I bought it (not inside any aisles but at the display in front of the Plumbing asile)
Online C&C is not available and have to get it from store in-personCheck the middle of the store. My store didn't have any on the normal shelf but had 2 in the middle isle centre of the store.
I got it from my local bunnings. Mentone Victoria had more than 6 on display.
Would this fit in a regular SUV?
depends on your definition of 'regular SUV'.
Also depends on whether or not you can drop the back seats
BMW X5 and yes?
will fit easily, on its side anyway. Maybe vertical too, you'd have to check your cargo space dimensions.
@andresampras: Cheers thanks!
I have a q5, fitted fine.
Back seat up or down? I've got kid's seats in the car so I'd rather bring a trailer than take them out!
the seats were down, kids seats out for me.
@dredee: Great, thanks! Trailer it is
Didn’t fit in Subi Forester 2021. Didn’t try horizontal not that we’d want to.
Bought one, $40 delivered by a bloke in a ute. nice upgrade from the old 5kg vented .. just make sure you take a pic of the serial number on the back of the unit BEFORE you slot it into the dryer cavity so you can sign up for the online warranty. Thanks Op
Is anyone stacking this on top of their front loader washer? If yes do you use a universal stacking kit or just a vibration mat? Mine is a Samsung WF1104XAC (60cm wide) and I am trying to find out if the universal stacking kit would fit on it since there's so many brand dependent ones out there.
I use my Beko heat pump dryer with a vabration mat (got it from HN) on Borsch front washer. If the top surface of your front washer is bigger than the legs of dryer, vibration mat should be fine. I check occasion of my dryer, haven't moved a bit after almost 2 years.
This or Hisense HDFY90H? The Hisense is about $400 expensive (including shipping) and is 9KG with 9 star rating.
I had same question but decided to buy Hisense.
Bigger capacity, higher energy rating..delivery with free "installation". Comparing with bunnings extra $90 for me but delivery only no installation. (bonus if u are replacing your old dryer) for me just want delivery guys to carry into my house instead of leave it at door front and I can't carry it myself.
So about $300 different there
Not sure how much exact saving between 7 star and 9 stars.
Anyway I have placed order for hisense. The esatto 8kg is $810 on appliances online which includes delivery and installation. The Hisense is $1258.
Anyone that has one of these can you measure the distance between the feet please?
I have an LG 7kg front loader washing machine but its not an overly deep model (its only 55cm deep). Might have to look at a stacking kit if I want to stack this on top of the washer.
455mm between the front and the back feet. That’s to the centre of the feet.
Awesome thanks mate… so should be right to stack on the LG with a rubber stacking mat with a few cm to spare front and back…
460mm.
Edit: too slow!
Normally I believe you remove the feet to stack it, so the weight is not just distributed on 4 feet but across the unit.
Sorry for the noob question ..how to avoid shrinkage of the clothes .like the old model it does not have the auto function
I bought the last one at Crossroads. I am going to put it on top of a 10kg bosch front loader. Do i need a rubber mat ?
I used one of these under each foot.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/whites-on-site-100-x-15mm-rubber…
Hasn't moved at all.
Thanks for the link.
Do you place you dryer on top of a washer or just on the floor? If so i assume you still keep the leg and just place the mat under each leg?I put it on top of the washer.
I read a bit online (as I hadn't done this before). Several places said take off legs. I didn't see this as an option, as there is stuff underneath on this machine that protrude beyond the base.
The main part I was worried about was how much the washing machine wobbled during a cycle with the dryer on top. But with the weight of the drier on top the washing machine is much more stable.
@iamherenow: Thanks. Just bought the rubber you suggested and have set up my machine. Will do its first load tonight to see how its spinning from the top of the washing machine
Hmm, i've tried 2 standard cycles and have noticed that some fabrics are still slightly damp upon finishing up
I did one standard cycle, which ran for about hour, and all clothes came out dry.
This dryer is now $598 at Bunnings! Of course delivery is extra.
argh! and i only just bought it 2 days ago for $697! forgot to use my card with the price protection insurance :(
I got it for 810 from Appliances Online, and now the price is down to 767. I got the balance refunded.
Just picked up the display from Doncaster for $345. That's drying sorted!
Have the receipt by any chance?
Just picked one up. Will test it out tomorrow but for the price its hard to resist this ozbargain
I was watching a video on the EHPD7 7kg version of this and it showed a box shaped base lint filter behind the big front door at the lower left of the unit. Doesn't appear that the EHPD80 has this? or at least mine doesn't. Might have to be a little more vigilant with vacuuming the lint off the radiator fins on the heat pump inside.
I dont know, but I know there's a lint filter when you open the door at the bottom of the entryway.
I have seen many of the Esatto or equivalent rebranded 8kg heat pump dryers don't have the heat exchange/base filter. The 7kg versions have it but for some reason the 8kg variants don't. I am not sure how important that filter is and the consequence for having them removed in the larger models.
Hopefully someone can chime in and explain if it is an issue by not having that extra base filter.
clearance price now is $300
Which store and do you have a receipt? I still haven’t bought one yet.
sorry dont have the receipt, just saw someone posted a photo
Receipt please
sorry dont have the receipt, just saw someone posted a photo
Where?
Hi all, i have one quick question about stacking this dryer on my LG washer. My washer model is LG WD12021D6 (Dimensions are W 590mm x D 600mm). Can I safely stack this dryer on top of my washer using just the rubber mat? I can go down one size the 7kg model but would love to get this size if it can be stacked.
Anyone can give me some advice on this? The top side of my washer are measured at W 590mm x D 550mm. I just worried the dryer cant be stacked on top as the legs may not sit within the washer. I checked new washer, they are measured at similar dimensions. If this size is too big for my washer, will 7kg model fit my washer?
Thank you in advance.
Ive got an LG 7.5kg washer which is only just 550mm deep on the top. Ive got the Esatto stacked on top of that with one of the black rubber mats from good guys and its fine. The feet are about and inch in from each corner and its not moving a mm and ive done quite a few loads of washing this week with the wet weather in sydney.
Thank you, this is good to hear. I emailed Esatto support and they said can't stack if the washer does not have exact measurement. I am quite sure it would be ok but the support rep said otherwise. I went to Goodguy to look at Solt, they said it would be ok and they know LG top is a bit small compared to other brands and recommend to get the stacking kit to be sure, tried to hook me with with a Miele or Asko lol

@matt30186: It does not use 1600W constantly, the amount of power varies during the cycle.
Also, I believe that time that it lists is the max, but if you time it, it will usually be less as it has detected that there's a low humidity inside.
